Chapter 10 Meeting the Wolves

Chapter 10 Meeting the Wolves Hunter I can’t believe she’s willing to meet our wolves. Well, she doesn’t know we can shift into them yet, but it’s a step in the right direction. I’m excited that she’s so open to this, but nervous, for when she finds out that we’re all werewolves. One step at a time, though. “I love the forest, it’s so calming and beautiful,” she said, with a twinkle in her eye. I looked over to her and couldn't help but watch as she took everything in, from the treetops to the ground. “I’m going to take you to my favorite place. It’s a cliff overlooking the lake and forest.” She smiled. “Sounds perfect.” “Let’s meet the wolves first though.” I held her hand and walked her to a clearing in the forest. “So, what do you know about wolves?” I turned and looked her in the eyes. “Not much, just that they live in packs. The Alpha is the leader, and I know not to make any sudden movements or make eye contact.” I laughed. “True, but these are not your typical wild wolves. They are domesticated and accustomed to humans. They are a special breed and much larger than the typical wolf. On top of that, you are with me, so they won’t hurt you. Don’t worry about your movements or eye contact with these ones.” I wanted to make this as stress-free as possible for her and ease any tension she may have. “OK, I trust you.” Bolt howled in my head when he heard that. He’s happy she’s open-minded. Gage’s dark brown wolf, and my dad’s black wolf came out first. Her eyes went wide, and she gasped. Gage’s wolf’s shoulders reached her neck, whereas my dad’s reached the top of her head. My dad and I being alphas, although my dad is retired, means we are the largest, fastest, strongest, and fiercest in our packs. We must maintain our dominance and ensure the safety and well-being of all our pack members. Most alpha’s own businesses to provide for their packs as well. It’s all wired into our genetics. The first born inherits the strongest of the genes, which is why the first born almost always gets the Alpha title. “Wow, they're beautiful,” she said softly. She looked underneath them to see if they were male or female. Bolt growled and she jerked up. “Oh, their males.” “Dude, your mate just checked us out.” Gage laughed through the link. He was laughing so hard he couldn’t breathe, and I could see his wolf gasping for air. I glared at him. I was about to say something, but my dad beat me to it. “That's my son's mate, your future Luna. Show some respect.” My dad growled. His wolf walked over to Gage’s, preparing to make him submit. “She was checking you out too.” Gage barely got out. My dad’s wolf took a step back and stood tall and proud. “Yep, I take pride in my size.” my dad laughed. I snarled. “Oh, chill out son, she doesn’t know we’re shifters.” “Oh wow, they’re hung. I bet they’d make a lot of pups, with the size of those balls,” she said seriously. They both fell on the ground, and were rolling around, laughing hysterically through our links. I even saw tears coming out of their eyes. She slowly walked over and decided to pet their bellies. I kept snarling through the link, but that just encouraged more laughter. She got them both thumping their legs. Kyle appeared in his wolf form. He's light gray. She went over and looked under him. “Hmm, he’s a male, but not hung like these two.” I couldn’t hold back anymore; I laughed so hard that I cried. “But he’s still got bragging rights,” she added. Kyle chuckled; a bit confused as to what was going on. She started making kissy noises and was baby talking to him while petting him behind his ears. More laughter erupted from me and through the link. She couldn’t figure out why I was laughing so hard. “So do they know any tricks?” It took a moment for me to regain myself enough to answer her question. Now it’s time for payback. “Sure, they know a lot.” “Show me.” she said, eagerly. “Sit…. Down…. Do the hokey pokey and turn yourself around.” They glared at me, and she laughed. “It’s OK, we’re just playing around,” she said in baby talk. Her phone rang. Her smile faded once she looked at the caller ID.
