I woke up in a hospital bed holding Hunter's hand. Last night is a bit fuzzy. I only remember bits and pieces of it. Hunter woke up soon after I did. He looked at me, but his eyes held regret and fear. I just gazed at him confused. What happened to make him this way?
He lifted our interlocked hands to his lips and kissed mine. “Ari, I am so, so sorry I brought up the Luna ceremony. We can wait until you are comfortable and ready. There is no need to rush and I’m sorry if I sounded like it needed to be done right away. I guess I’m just too excited for it to happen. Will you please forgive me? I will do anything to make it up to you.” He then placed my hand on the side of his cheek and gave me the most pitiful look.
