We stayed a while longer at the cliff, watching the shooting stars. The sky was full of them tonight. I looked around and watched mates nuzzling one another. I couldn't help but long for my own mate to do that with. I sighed before letting out a howl to let the others know that it was time to head back.
About halfway to the pack house I got a mind link. “Beta, I can’t get a hold of Alpha Hunter.” Worry and fear etched in the warrior's voice.
“He blocked everyone. He’s spending some quality time with the Luna. What's going on?”
“We have incoming rogues on the Eastern border.” I growled and took a sharp turn towards the East. Other wolves glanced at me wondering what was going on.
