“Raffy!”
A sharp voice cut through the quiet of the school infirmary as a student burst through the door, breathless. The nurse glanced up, mildly surprised, but the boy quickly slowed his steps, remembering he wasn’t supposed to be running indoors. He carefully made his way over to Raphael, who was lounging on one of the clinic beds, flipping through a manga. A friend sat beside him, similarly absorbed in his book.
Raphael barely looked up as his friend approached, panting slightly.
“What’s with you? Something happened?” he asked, still focused on the page in front of him.
“Not exactly. But—I did some research,” his friend declared, eyes gleaming with excitement. “And you’ll never guess what I found out.”
Raphael finally glanced at him, puzzled. Even the boy reading beside him looked
