Chapter 3

Maybell revealed her gun under her shirt.

"And the others" I said pointing my head towards the cars.

"Same as me" she says.

"Wait to see what happens"

She nods. The others get out of the car and slowly make their way to the bench. The first black cars doors open. We all stand and watch. Watching and waiting. A tall man pulls out his cell phone making a call. We can't hear what was said. My little bird noticed and moved closer to Sammy. She instantly moves Sammy behind her. She nodded at Sammy and he knew what to do. He quickly hid himself.

"You need to leave right now" She shouted.

"Now now Angel is that anyway to talk to me" the man says.

"Angel you lost that right to me call that" She shouts back.

We all moved instinctly towards them slowly.

"Look Angel we can do this one or two ways. But someone will get hurt" He says as the others get out of the car.

"Leave us be. I know what you did" She seems to be getting more intense.

"Little rabbit you know this isn't going to be easy. We have orders to bring you and the boy back" the second says.

There was two names they used for my little bird and I hated it. I nodded for us to step forwards again. This time weapons drawn and they fan out.

"Mason leave us be please. We want nothing to do with that life please" She starts taking a running stance.

"Don't be stupid princess" The man says.

"Le-Levi no" she says.

She looked defeated. She raises her hands up.

"Princess come here" Levi says.

She slowly starts moving when I heard a click. A gun got c****d. No one on my team nor theirs had c****d a gun let alone drawn one.

"Princess" Levi says" Don't do anything stupid "

"Levi I'm complying aren't I. Just take me back and leave Sammy alone" She says slowly walking towards the group of men.

She knew something. She side stepped twice and nodded.

Bang. A shot was fired and hit two in the one after the other. I looked at my group and no one fired. I saw her smirk. It was Sammy. Where did he go. His shot was good enough to drop two people. She moved two steps to her left then.

"Princess tell him to stop or we shoot you next" Levi screams.

"You know how good of a shot he is. You threatened me which was a mistake. Sammy was trained as I was at his age. He knows not to stop till well you know Levi" She takes one more step to the left.

She's silently signalling Sammy how many people there are. Smart. My little bird didn't need my help. This was amusing to watch. At this point all the men had their own weapons drawn. The silence that filled the air was deafening. Then bang bang. Two more dropped. Then one. There was only four of them left. Sammy was one hell of a shot. She slightly moved forward and towards the right. I knew that meant Sammy was lining up the rest. I nodded for my people to move in slowly.

"You're mine princess" Levi shouts as the rest fan out.

Sammy shot one. No bang this time. For a sweet kid he knows enough to use a silencer.

"Levi from what you came with its time to call it quites" She smirks.

She slide her foot slightly. A sly smile fell on her mouth.

"Princess you remember to little then" He says.

A shot was fired and missed her. If my little bird dies here I will burn the world down.

"Levi you'd actually kill me here. Aw and I was looking forward to it being me on the wedding night" She smirks kicking up a gun.

Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang. The air rang out with shots. I watched as bodies fell to the ground. She was one hell of shot just like Sammy. My little bird was no shy girl I thought I saved that day. Who was my precious little bird? I'm becoming more and more obsessed with her. Only Levi was left.

"Princess" was his last words as one shot hit his head the other his heart.

My people watched in awe as two people one only being a young kid just took out more people than them. They had put their guns away. My little bird just killed in cold blood and is smiling. I walked over to her.

"Clean this up" I say over my shoulder to my people.

They all nodded and got to work.

"Little bird" I said putting up my visor.

"Asher" She says smiling and putting the safety on before sticking in the back of her pants.

Sammy came out of hiding. His smile told me that these people were dangerous but to me my little bird was safe.

"What life did you live before this" I asked taking off my helmet.

"Oh ah um" She became awfully shy again.

I liked this side of her. It's what made fall for her all those years ago.

"All that matters is your safe little bird" I said hugging her.

She flinched. That world she was trying to leave behind must have been bad enough she doesn't know how to accept a hug. My blood boiled with anger.

"Hey Asher we're done" Maybell says popping her gum.

I turned my head towards her and she froze.

"Maybell meet Mareena" I said introducing them.

"Wait Mareena as in" She stopped talking.

I didn't know what was happening but she just started to walk away.

"Little bird is there something you need to tell me" I asked.

"No Asher" She says with a straight face almost as if she was of stone.

"I'm hungry" Sammy says.

She pats his head lovingly.

"Go back to grams and you know the drill" She says smiling.

We watched as he took off. The one question that filled my mind was where the f**k was he hiding the entire time?

"Asher look I'll tell you everything when I'm ready" Her tone had changed.

I fell deeply right there for her.

"Little bird take your time" I said gently placing a kiss on her forehead.

I looked into her eyes and saw she was conflicted. It was the afternoon already. I looked back at her and she looked at me. My heart started beating faster.

"Asher" she says looking away.

Her knees buckled from under her and she fell forward onto my chest. She had passed out.

"Little bird. Hey little bird. It's ok I got you" I said picking her up to where her head rested on my shoulder. I see now she had bags under her eyes. She had exhausted herself.

Maybell came running with her car keys. Handed them to me and took my bike keys.

"Take the car" She says putting my helmet on as she got on the bike.

I gently opened the door and laid her down in back seat. I gently placed a kiss on her forehead again.

"Don't worry my little bird I got you" I say gently closing the door before getting into the driver seat. I started the car and drove home.

The whole drive home with her back sleeping made me realize I was scared today to lose her. I only just got her back and I watched her almost die.If that person was a good shot or just was a warning shot she would've died. Yet she didn't flinch. I pulled into the drive way and turned the car off. I opened the door and gently closed it. I opened the back door and gently grabbed her. I kicked the door shut. I carried her into her house as Maybell held the door open.

"Asher what happened" She says plopping down on the couch.

"Just leave me alone" I said kicking my door shut.

I gently laid her on my bed and waited for her to wake.
