"I'd take it you're finally here for what we discussed months ago" The woman smirked.
"Hallie" Mareena says just revealing her eyes.
Hallie steps around the counter and walks over to the door flipping the sign to close. She turns the lights off in the front.
"Sweet girl my team is on stand by" Hallie says.
"I've had enough of a life I've never wanted" Mareena says.
"You must be trusted enough with a boss to be here" Hallie says looking at me.
"You ask her that" I say crossing my arms.
"Don't take your hat off till you're in the back" She says locking the door.
My little bird just nodded. And walked towards the back before I could join her Hallie grabbed my arm.
"Asher" She says.
I flinched.
"Hallie"
"Take care of her. She's now both of our boss. Remember this girl is dangerous"
"I've already seen what she can do. To me my little bird will always be protected" I said gently pulling my arm free.
She just nodded and we walked to the back. She was waiting in her bra and shorts.
"Get all the stuff ready" Hallie said and her team moved quickly and silently.
"Asher you're getting a tattoo today also" Mareena says smiling.
"Yes little bird" I couldn't deny the boss.
Hell if she told me to end someone I would. I couldn't deny my little bird. She walked over to me and bit me. I tried to stand still as possible but I started to feel good.
"Get started with that. M is to be placed under that" She says.
Hallies' team rushed me to a chair and begun working quickly. Next thing I knew I was done. I was branded via tattoo that I belonged to her. My heart swelled with joy and I tried to hide my smile.
"Team the boss is going to take hours so be ready with designs and needles for what she wants. First the piercings" Hallie says setting up everything for Mareena.
"Stand outside the door" My little bird says sitting down on the chair.
"Yes" I said feeling a bit defeated but did as I was told.
Outside the door dark but still I could see of someone tried anything.
"Asher" Hallie said opening the door a crack.
"Yes"
"There's two guns to your left and two to your right. Silencers attached" She says then closes the door.
I stood guard for literal hours. My precious little bird made no noises. All I could hear was the sound of the tattoo guns going. Multiple tattoo guns. It sounded like the whole team was working on her. I saw a shadow outside of the front window. I pulled my cell phone out and quietly moved to the right to use it. Turned the screen down before making a call.
"Update on Sammy" I said.
"Playing in the yard. Whole team here. He wanted a puppy. So someone went for one. Guess we have a dog now. Pitbull"
"Anything else"
"There's enough food here for awhile. Did you know he could eat"
"So he got a pit bull puppy and food"
"How much longer are you two going to be"
"It's only been four hours May"
"Asher, I know this was my order but I'm not used to having no action"
"May put up with it. I gotta go" I said quickly hanging up the phone. I saw another shadow move in the front window. I grabbed a gun off wall and waited. Two more moved in front of the window. I gently knocked on the door. A door opened on one end of the hallway.
"Asher what's going on" A man asked.
"Three people"
"Let me check" He says.
I heard a gun being grabbed from the wall to my left. He slowly walked to the front. Then someone knocked on the window. It was a woman. He grabbed pen and paper. Stuck it to the door with tape. It said closed for private clients. She typed something on her I couldn't see. He shrugged. Next thing I knew there was two more people reading the sign. The tattoo guns were slowing down. She was almost done.
"Be ready" he says.
"For" I asked.
"You'll need to go out the back"
"Got it" I say as he handed me his keys.
"My car is quiet so it'll make an easy get away. We already know what to do" He says sticking his hand out. I handed him my keys.
A light knock on a door to my right told that it was time to go. I opened the door enough for me to fit. The room was dimmed enough to just see people in it. I waited. I felt a gentle hand and I knew it was her.
"Sweet girl be careful. We know the plan" Hallie says.
"Asher let's go"
"Wait your after care stuff" Hallie says handing me a bag.
"We gotta go" I say.
The light out side was slowly dimming down. Sunset. I looked at the keys I was handed and looked for the car. She hid behind me while I walked us over to the car. I opened the passenger door for her and she got in. I shut the door. I headed over to the driver side. Opened the door and got in. I started the car. He was right quiet. I pulled out and quickly started home. She had a baggy hoodie on and sweat pants. Not the outfit she left home in. Bait and switch. She was one hell of a boss.
"Asher"
"Yes"
"Can you have one of your people get me a pit bull puppy"
"Sammy just got one"
"Fine get me three then"
She sounded pissed. I do understand she just sat for 6 hours being tattooed.
"Yes boss" I say pulling out my phone.
"Thank you" She says laying her against the window.
"May three more puppies"
"Three more. Isn't one enough for him"
"It's not for him. It's for her. She wants them to be there before we get back"
"Yes Asher" Maybell says hanging up.
The silence slowly started to kill me. I saw her reach for my phone. We were at a light. I handed her phone and quickly connected it to the car. The was still red. She put a song and I didn't recognize it.
"What is this"
"Feel it"
"Artist"
"Michele Morrone"
"Ok" I said as the light turned green and I took off towards home.
I watched her out of the corner of my eye relaxing. Her hood was still pulled up her face. I couldn't see what was done. My heart started to ache not knowing what my little bird had done but on the other hand I was branded as hers. This obsession I've had with her deepens more and more. I pulled into house and turned the car off. Two minutes later my car pulls in. The others got out of the car signalling it was our turn to get out. There was another girl who was wearing Mareenas' clothes. We all walked up to the house. Maybell opened the door.
"Why am I not surprised this happened" She says.
"Maybell sweetie" Hallie says.
"What a joy Hallie"
"We weren't followed"
"Now get in here before someone notices" Maybell says.
We all piled into house quickly. She shut the door behind us.
"Mare, Mare" Sammy called out.
"Sammy"
He went running over to her and hugged her.
"Mare you're different" He says taking off the hood.
"That was always the plan Sammy"
She had her lip pierced in the middle. Her nose pierced on the left and right side. My heart beat grew faster and faster. What else did my little bird have done?
