walk into the breakfast gathering, a bright smile plastered on my face. The Alpha and Elena are already seated, their eyes fixed on me as I take my place at the table.
"Good morning, everyone," I say, my voice cheerful. "Beautiful day, isn't it?"
The Alpha's expression is neutral, but Elena's eyes narrow slightly, her gaze piercing. I keep my smile in place, unfazed.
"So, Alpha," I say, turning to him, "what's the plan for today?"
The Alpha's eyes flicker to Elena before returning to me. "We'll be discussing the pack's security, Luna. Elena has some concerns she'd like to address."
I nod, my heart racing slightly. This is it – my chance to prove my loyalty and throw Elena off my scent.
"I'm all ears," I say, my voice eager. "I want to help in any way I can."
