It was time for a new training which I wasn't sure what it was going to be. The shaman came to me at the dawn of the day. She didn't seem to be dressed. But she was with another girl.
“ Scott, this will be your instructor for today. I need to attend to Elijah for the ritual today. Her name is Akua and she is just the perfect person to train you with the waters.” She left immediately without listening to my response.
I stand at the edge of the lake, the cool water lapping at my toes. My instructor, a wise and seasoned water elemental named Akua, gestures for me to enter the lake.
"Today, we will work on control," Akua says, her voice like music. "You must learn to harness the power of water, to bend it to your will."
