Chapter 8It was another early morning for Josh. He didn’t even visit the kitchen for breakfast. Instead, he headed straight for town. His first stop was motivated by an undeniable need for coffee and some kind of breakfast. Wolf Creek was a small town by any standards, with only a handful of stop lights and three gas stations open year round for the hunters, loggers, and hikers. Years ago, the town’s economy had revolved around the paper mill, but the concrete towers and buildings now stood as empty monuments to the past.
