I was paired with the Redhead and a blonde guy who looks like a kid- each one have been turned for almost a month. Lucky for me, we have a lot of time before we strike, time for a little bit of 'Allen' training. We run to the point of location, taking us about 15 minutes to run across town. I stop about 8 miles away from the destination, the looks on their faces are shouting confusion.
"I don't want you guys to go fist blazing and get killed the moment you hold up your pinkie fingers, so until we hear the go ahead, were going to do what my father taught me. It's basic true blood training-"
"But forgive me Mr. Allen, we're not true bloods." The young kid states.
"But you're going to fight like them. The first rule about fighting- don't use your speed to gain high ground, especially if you're fighting against Jeremy. Most vampires who are a lot older can see you running in slow motion- you may think your fast but you're going to look really f*****g slow to them. Second rule, keep your head clear- vampires can read thoughts like yours kid, that's gross. Your what 19, hormones must be getting to you standing next to the hot redhead. Now is not the time to think with the smaller brain in your pants" I turn to the tree grabbing a piece of bark- throwing it to the redhead, it pierces her skin just a fair bit- her skin turning purple. Wood doesn't kill us, just weaken. Fire on the other hand- she grabs the piece of bark and laughs,
"This can't kill me."
"I know." I then heard a panic in her heart, that purple from the wood, is a type of 'lighter' fluid. This is the reason Jeremy took this spot.
"Fire wood." The kid snorts, laughing shortly after it.
"Whoever came up with that name was high or something." Then I heard the redhead slapping her skin to extinguish the fire. I then look at the kids face turning even more white than it already is,
"Funny now? The purple is how the fire starts, rule number 3- know your surroundings." I walk over to the girl, I bite my wrist exposing blood. I hold it over the fire, dripping it on her skin. The fire extinguished.
"Rule number four- Know your Enemies and your allies. and the most important rule-" I then finish talking to them in my mind, 'never talk with your mouth- but remember to keep your mind clear of these conversations.'.
"Now you know the 'Allen' training."
"That was it?"
*beep, beep, beep* I look down at my watch, eleven blinking yellow dots are quickly approaching.
"That can't be right..." I look behind us,
"I need you guys to get far away from here- s**t! There was only supposed to be 3 or 5 people here."
"How many are there?"
"Eleven." I tell them.
"Where are you going to be?"
"Right behind you, go! go!" I lied. I need to find out why there are eleven vampires coming to this direction. I see them run off in the distance, I run too, but hide in the 'cave' covered by bushes. By the calculations of this watch they should be approaching in about 5 minutes. I grab the chain hanging around my neck- the ring dangling- Majika put it on a chain for me before I left; told me if I find Alannah- when she is back to us, back in London- to give it to her. But she told me to never take it off. I saw one by one vampires entering the middle of the field; but I only sense 6 vampires in the middle of the field where are the rest?
"Are you sure you smelled Avery and Conner?" I hear Alannah's voice. I could feel my heart skip a beat,
"That means you were telling the truth, they were planning on sabotaging the ritual." Alannah, you told them?
"I would never lie to you Grandfather." There standing right in front of me, the rest of the vampires are here with them. I can feel my heart cracking and breaking as I hear the conversation grow.
"Do you think Desmond was here?"
"No. He wouldn't show- not after what I did." I have a bad feeling about this.
"Grandfather, before we start, do you think you could leave me- I need to catch my breath after that long run."
"Of course my child." I see the rest of them leave and meet the others out on the field. I can hear Alannah taking deep breaths- just like I made her do. I see that her hair has grown in less than a day, she looks ill, and tired. I walk out from the bush, I can feel anger rushing through my veins.
"How dare you!" I grumbled. She jumped, holding her stomach her hand covering her mouth.
"What are you doing here Desmond?"
"You said it yourself, sabotage." She went to touch me but I backed away.
"Desmond, you don't understand I-"
"I think I understand enough." I turn my back,
"Desmond stop!" She cries. I can't move, I see her appear in front of me. Her hand covered by a glove,
"What is this, what are you doing Alannah?!" I can see her eyes glowing her unusual color, s**t.
"I love you, but please don't make me do this." I hear someone appear from behind the trees, it's the witch. She walks to Alannah, her hands resting on her shoulders, Alannah begins to cry.
"He doesn't know does he?"
"I don't know what?"
...**...
I felt shock, betrayal, hurt, confusion, anger, sadness, I sit on the bed- the door locked. How could Alannah do that to us, how could she not trust me. I feel a type of pain I never thought I could have ever felt in my life. I felt like she died and now I'm left to live this life alone.
Amalecitae has been keeping a close eye on for the last couple weeks, she thinks I don't know. But I haven't moved since i came back. I fidget with the ring hanging from my neck from time to time during the day. I haven't had a single drop of blood and I can feel myself dying. Alannah, how could you?
I can feel the hair on my face growing, I probably have a small beard by now and being that I'm a vampire I don't need a bathroom- so I literally have been sitting on this bed for weeks. I heard knocking on my door but I didn't feel like opening it all I can think about was the last thing Alannah told me before I was punched right in the face- I flew so far I started a fire in the woods.
"I'm pregnant."
