...... show me how much you missed me" Rafael said "I haven't" she replied "You haven't? Your body tells a different story I can see your n*****s from across the room and Jane I can smell your arousal from here." "That is not true!!!! Or maybe it is.... maybe I need to keep reminding my traitorous body about who you are and what you did. Make no mistake even my body screams YES from now till infinity you will never have my mind, my soul, my brain or my heart " Jane retorted Rafael growled and started swiftly crossing the room he wanted to grab her and prove that she would be as obsessed with him as he was with her but he had made a promise to her and after what happened 5 years ago he needed to keep it even if it killed him. Rafael stopped just short of reaching her, his hands clenched by his sides, the fire in his eyes almost unbearable to look at. He could feel the magnetic pull between them, but he fought against it, reminding himself of the promise he made—one that was as much a vow to her as it was to himself. Jane held her ground, chin up, gaze unyielding, but he could see the tremor in her hand, the way her breath quickened as he neared. She tried to mask it, but he knew her tells, knew the battle raging inside her because it was mirrored within him. “Don’t look at me like that,” she said, her voice barely more than a whisper, but it was layered with defiance. “Like what?” he murmured, his voice low and rough, laced with the ache he’d carried for years. “Like I’m starving? Because I am, Jane. Starving for every inch of you that you keep trying to hide.”
