Continuing to walk through the busy downtown streets, the doctor covers his ears to block out background noise from fireworks explosions and public service announcements blasting all over town. Incapable of overcoming profound guilt for so much in his life, he whispers into the I-cell that he detests himself as much as Nelly loathes herself and her ex-husband. Right before he crosses the street from the central square, he hears Nelly’s cries from the top of City Hall’s observatory tower. Airborne drones are projecting lights on her. Hands extended like wings of an angel, she is preparing to dive off the building. Down below, crowds of people are waiting for her to jump.
