Red and Grace
To indicate empathy, Red touches Grace’s ar. Sensing virus-induced symptoms, she quickly pulls it away. Despite wearing bio-skin gloves intended to cover blotches on her hands, Red still feels a strong jolt just touching Grace. Her eyes release a few tears. Without extra protection to prevent eye irritation, she would look like a vampire who just drained the blood of a dozen infected people. Unconcerned that others see her no better than a mutant, her most difficult decision was to abandon professional psychology and return to college for an engineering degree. After Dr. Jeff convinced her to take part in the neo-genesis experiment, her life changed. In an era of universal mistrust and mass hysteria, the doctor sees Red as his last best hope to make his experiment a reality
