My mom was helping me get ready for the London premiere of Chance Encounter. She zipped up the back of my silver dress, while I put on the pearl drop earrings. Maria was there to assist me with various phone interviews for newspapers and magazines, and my dad just wandered aimlessly around the flat, gushing over the views from the window, the piano, and the fancy neighborhood. Having Maria and my mom there helped me to not absorb his nervousness. Which was good, as I was feeling plenty of nerves already.
