YVONNE —
The next morning, I woke up feeling very weak. Yesterday was so stressful that I could not even wake up as early as usual today.
I quickly stood up from the bed as I heard the voice of the kids playing on the balcony.
"Amanda!" I yelled.
"Oh, Yvonne, you're awake," she responded, coming out of the kitchen. "It was not easy preventing the kids from waking you up," she remarked.
"Really? They must have been worried to the extent they gave up," I responded, peeping through the window to see them. "You should have woken me up, though, because I have an agreement with the Alpha today; he might be thinking I intentionally turned him down," I said.
