I didn't know sleep was so good until I was rudely awaken from mines. Living with Mason for a month really threw me out of whack. I hated sleeping without Tre. I barely slept most days. Being held by Tre again really lulled me into a deep sleep. Until my stupid ass phone woke me up.
"What?" I grumbled into the receiver.
"Maelynn?! Oh thank god you're okay," the panicked voice of DJ came through. Wait...DJ? "I haven't heard from you in days. When I heard about your parents...you went missing. I thought something happened to you. Are you okay? Where are you?"
"I'm fine," I mumbled while rubbing my eyes sleepily. "I'm with Tre." It was quiet on the other end. "I'm finally free of them. I can live my life again. I'm home now-"
"Maelynn," he cut me off. "You're with Tre?"
