Kato only laid his head back and closed his eyes. “Yeah. Just tired, so keep the f*****g noise down.”
Alex shrugged his shoulders and turned to face forward. I was leaning forward, about to ask where Pearce was—surely we weren’t leaving without him saying goodbye at least—but before I got the chance, my side door opened.
