Sarah I pull the blanket over my head and pretend to fall asleep. I feel him drop beside me and settle in, but I make no sudden movements. Play dead, Sarah. It works for grizzly bears, so it should work for you, too, I tell myself. "I know you aren't sleeping, Sarah." My body tenses as Vincent's low, husky voice caresses my ear. "You don't know what you are talking about, Vincent. I am deep asleep, and you are disturbing it," I mumble, squeezing my eyes shut.
