Espanyana's P.O.V
My mind begins to bring me to Natalia and her whereabouts.
I don’t know what’s going on but I need to make sure she’s okay.
I immediately turn on my feet, before pushing open the bathroom door in order to grant me access to the space once again.
Somethings really wrong. I came into this door on the right hand side, but now I’m exiting through the left.
My eyebrows furrow together in confusion as I examine the doorframe.
Why are things changing? This has never happened to me before, someone must know that the realities were altered.
But who.
‘Natalia where are you?’ I called out to her using my cunning as I began searching for her through the crowd of people.
As I continue weaving my way through the sea of people my stomach begins to churn in uncertainty.
Why hasn’t she answered me yet
‘Natalia? Are you okay?’ I hum again, trying to receive some type of response
A few minutes pass and I still haven’t heard back from Natalia.
What the f**k is going on?
As I begin to bring myself to the bar area, in hopes to find her i am immediately being thrown to the ground by a large force.
“Oh my! I apologize deeply. Let me help you.” The deep voice spoke out as he extended his arm out for me to take.
I look up at the man standing before me and it’s almost like I’m taking to a place of tranquility.
“No it’s really my bad, I wasn’t looking where I was going” I spoke up as I took his hand in mine.
The man immediately pulled my body up towards his, having us stand face to face once I managed to make it to my feet.
I begin to analyze the man standing before me, as there was something about his aura that I hadn’t yet come in contact with before.
His eyes held warmth, and his essence was full of delicacy and clairvoyance. His soul held love and patience and he smelled like purity. A smell so beautiful you find your home in it.
“Nonsense. It was my fault entirely.” The man insisted.
Who is this man? And why am I so drawn to him?
I can’t smell a single sin on his being- not one. His desire to sin is so low that it’s completely undetectable.
“I’m sorry but I don’t think I got your name.” I spoke, hoping to find out more about this mysterious man.
“Uriel, pleased to meet you.”
As he offers me his name I instantly become overtaken by a feeling of elation, and suddenly I forget where I am.
“Espanyana! I’ve been looking for you everywhere!” Natalia’s voice called out as she pulled my body towards her in efforts to gain my attention.
I immediately break my train of thought, before turning my body around in order to meet my eyes with Uriel’s one last time.
But by then he was already gone, almost like he was never here.
“What do you mean? I called out to you twice and you weren’t answering.” I explained to her as I redirected my thoughts
“What? I was calling to you this entire time. Why can’t we hear each other?” She questioned as she furrowed her eyebrows at me.
I began to think back to when I was in the bathroom. I am certain that I merged the two realities perfectly, there’s absolutely no way there could be any flaws on my end unless there was someone watching in on me.
And if that’s the case, we have an even bigger problem here.
“There has to be something interfering with the frequencies in this room.” I explained, trying to think of the most logic explanation.
“Did you collect your sin?” I questioned.
If anything is truly wrong then Natalia’s going to need some real power and she’s going to need it quick.
“No, I tried but after you went in the bathroom he started acting weird and then suddenly everything about him changed. His entire demeanor and everything. He admitted to lying about his wife and then he slowly got up and walked out of the club.” She explained
My eyebrows furrowed together in confusion as I listened to her speak.
What the f**k?
“What happened to your foot? How did you heal it that quickly? There’s no spell in this world that can heal an open wound that f*****g fast.” Natalia asked suspiciously as he looked down at my completely healed foot.
“I just happen to have a lot of power stored for events like these.” I lied.
I really don’t want to tell her the truth right now because I don’t feel like being blamed for all the weird s**t that’s happening
“Tell me the truth. Don’t tell me you did what I think you did.” She tested.
I remain silent as i keep my eyes locked with hers.
“Please don’t tell me your really this f*****g stupid.” She called out, getting angrier by the second
“How f*****g stupid are you? Did you really think it was a good idea to f*****g switch realities right now? We are in a place full of f*****g deities and we’re supposed to be in hiding. You think the witching hour can protect you from a f*****g reality shift Yana?!” She yelled to me in a hushed tone to ensure nobody around us could hear.
“No but it doesn’t matter if nobody knows the realities were altered and nobody knows, nobody saw me. But I was f*****g bleeding everywhere and I was afraid that their may be vampires in here so I didn’t want to risk them tasting my blood because then they’d know that witches of our bloodline are here.” I tried to explain
“Yana. You do realize that somebody must’ve seen you and that’s why there’s fragments shifted in this reality right? You do understand that you are the ONLY witch with the ability to change realities right?! You’ve f*****g exposed yourself. If there are vampires here, they probably are already aware of the reality shift and are on their way right now to tell Dane of the damned that they found his little run away.” She spoke, talking to me with a condescending tone
“You’re so f*****g stupid!” She cursed again before grabbing onto my wrist.
“We have to go. Now!” She continued as she began dragging me through the sea of people.
We maneuver our way through different sweaty bodies before finally making our way towards the front of the club.
“Leaving so soon?” A voice called out from behind us, having me and Natalia turn around at the same time.
We are faced with two tall women standing before us. They were both incredibly beautiful but there was something about their eyes that was really unsettling.
It was almost as if they had the eyes of the living dead.
“Excuse me? Do we know you?” I questioned suspiciously with a slight attitude
“No, but I just wanted to compliment your friend on her pendant. I’ve never seen one quite like it.” The girl spoke as she took slow strides towards it, reaching her hands out to the cross wrapped around Natalia’s neck.
“I wouldn’t touch it if I were you” Natalia warned, causing the dark haired girl to jerk her head slightly to the side before releasing a slight laugh
“Oh of course, how rude of me. My apologies.” The woman spoke.
“I wonder, how is it that we’ve never noticed a pair quite as commanding as the two of you? You come here often, no?” The blonde woman spoke up as she continues to eye the both of us.
“No” Natalia replied, speaking for the both of us.
“First time?” The dark haired woman questioned, taking a small step closer to us.
I felt extremely hesitant on answering any of her questions, as every instinct inside of me was telling me that this was a test.
“Who wants to know?” Natalia asked as her tone sounded more harsh.
I quickly look down at my phone in order to check the time, before refocusing my attention back on the conversation
12:45am
“Well, me actually. It’s just that we take pride in our guests experience here at club lux, and unfortunately we’ve had some out of the ordinary things occur here today.” The dark haired woman spoke, softening her pitch in order to come off as genuine
“Oh I’m so sorry to hear that. What type of things might I ask.” I questioned in order to gain more insight for myself.
“Out of the ordinary. For starters, my food suddenly disappeared today. Right before my eyes. Food that I haven’t tasted in years. So you can imagine my concern when it suddenly vanishes, almost as if it had never even existed.” She explained as she licked her bottom lip while staring at me directly in the eyes through her eyebrows.
I immediately think back to the pool of blood that was left in the bar area before I was able to make it to the restroom.
Surely she’s not talking about that
I didn’t leave it sitting there for too long, I moved fairly quickly. And it was surrounded by a crowd of people how could they manage to drink it without being seen?
There’s no way she’s a vampire, I’d feel it right now.
“Oh I see, that’s definitely concerning. I’d say you should really get that checked out. But we didn’t notice anything weird tonight other than the men. But what’s new? We had a lovely experience here, thank you.” I explained, wanting to finish the conversation as soon as possible
“Mmm perfect, well I’m glad you enjoyed your time here with us tonight. Have a safe trip back, and please don’t hesitate to come visit us again. ” The blonde smiled before walking away.
The dark haired woman stared at me and Natalia with narrowed eyes for a few moments longer before turning on her feet and disappearing into the void.
What the actual f**k?
Me and Natalia immediately resume our journey outside of the club before being met with the Las Vegas streets.
“I can not f*****g believe you right now!” Natalia cursed as she let go of my wrist.
I roll my eyes at her in annoyance as we stand outside the club, hearing the music from within.
I understand that she’s upset but freaking out on me isn’t going to solve anything.
“Summon us a f*****g taxi. We need to get out of here now!” Natalia demanded
Yeah cause we both know you’re not strong enough to do it
‘Taxi taxi take me home’ I hummed, using my cunning
‘Taxi taxi take me home’
The busy traffic around us starts to slow, indicating that my manifestation is beginning to take its affect.
“You’re so f*****g careless Yana! So careless and so goddamn stupid! They know! They f*****g know everything! Did you just hear them back there?! They f*****g know.” She stressed as she began pacing back and forth
“Nat just calm down for a minute.” I started
“Don’t f*****g tell me to calm down!” She hissed as the whites of her eyes faded to black, indicating the fury within her.
She definitely wants to kill me.
I decide it’s of my best interest to stay silent at the moment to prevent myself from pissing her off further. Because at the rate we’re going, we’d probably end up trying to kill each other before the night ends.
And we both know I’d win.
“What time is it?!” Natalia questioned, with concern laced throughout her angry tone.
My eyes diverge from Natalia’s before landing on my phone screen.
“12:50” I expressed
“f**k! Are you kidding me?! We only have 10 minutes to make it home?! What the actual f**k Yana. This is why I don’t go out with you.” She pressed as she ran her fingers through the roots of her hair in frustration.
“It’s fine. We’ll make it back in time. Look, the taxi is here.” I expressed to her as a yellow taxi slowly pulls to the front of the building.
We quickly make our way to the taxi before knocking on the window in hopes to gain the drivers attention.
“Excuse me sir, can you please take us to 15141 Tokyo Blvd.” I requested
The man slowly nods his head at me before unlocking the door in order to grant us access.
We quickly climb our way into the vehicle, before driving away from the busy street.
“How far would you say we are from our destination?” I questioned
“I’d say about 15-20 minutes.” The man replied causing anxiety to rise within me.
‘You better figure something out. We have to make it back in time we can’t afford to be late. Especially not tonight.’ Natalia spoke to me using her cunning
Well Atleast I can hear her again.
I slowly close my eyes and rest my head on the seat behind me, as I try to connect myself with the taxi drivers thoughts.
‘Why is everyone driving so slow?!’ I hum to his subconscious, implanting new thoughts as his own
‘I need to drive faster’
As I continue to implant new thoughts into his mind, I notice the speed of the vehicle starting to increase.
‘Everyone needs to get out of my way! I have places I need to be.’ I continue, causing our speed to increase even more as I feel the driver switching lanes in order to weave past other cars.
‘Faster’
‘Faster’
‘Faster’
As I continue to manipulate his thoughts, my entire body jolts forwards as we come to an abrupt stop.
“We’re here.” The man called out as he pulls up to the end of our deserted street.
I immediately check the time seeing as it was 12:58, leaving us with exactly 2 minutes to make it to the top of the hill and into our house.
“Thank you.” I called as I handed him a $100 bill before quickly climbing out of his car.
Natalia and I waste no time in our journey up the hill, running as fast as our feet could take us in our stiletto heels.
We make our way to the gate guarding our safe haven, before quickly typing in the code and slipping through the iron salt rinsed blades.
Natalia immediately pulls out her key before quickly unlocking the large iron door and pushing it open. We both make our way into the home before quickly closing the door. My eyes diverge to the red flashing light of the clock watching as the numbers turn from 12:59 to 1:00am, making it home with less than a second to spare.
There’s a silence that engulfs us, allowing only the heaving breathing of our bodies to be heard between us two.
‘Ignite the light’ I called out, causing every candle within our home to spark alive simultaneously in order to offer us light.
Natalia slowly turns her body from the door in order to face mine
“This is your fault. Everything bad thats ever happened to us. It’s always you. You’re the cause of everything.” She spoke in a low tone
“I didn’t mean for this to happen-“ I started before getting cut off by the sound of Natalia’s voice.
“You never mean for anything to happen do you? It always just happens. You didn’t mean to betray Dane right? You didn’t mean to piss off the underworld right? You didn’t mean for our bloodline to become the sacrifice right? I’m sure you didn’t mean to ignite a m******e either. But you did. You did it all. You’re the cause of everything Yana. All of it.” Natalia spoke out as she looked at me with a look of hatred
“Stop” I warned
“What?! You can’t handle the truth?” She paused
“I moved you all the way across the country. Used the last of my Godly power to bless this home in order to protect you from evil. To protect you from him. I risk my life, everyday being here with you, taking care of you, watching over you and you still don’t seem to f*****g get it. You still seem to think this is some type of game.” She pressed
“I don’t think this is a game, I understand the severity of-“ I started before getting cut off once again
“Then why the f**k would you do something so f*****g reckless? Something so f*****g risky and stupid?! Why would you even want to risk exposing yourself like that if you know the witching hour can’t protect you. Why would you risk that?” She questioned with anger and frustration clear in her voice
“Because I didn’t think this would happen. I didn’t think anyone would have seen anything or notice.” I defended
“That’s your problem you don’t f*****g think.”
“What was I supposed to do? You wanted me to leave my blood out there for vampires to possibly come drink and then find us? How was I supposed to know they had already tasted my blood when I altered the realities? I thought I was protecting us!” I yelled
“You wouldn’t have had to do anything if you weren’t so power hungry to begin with. The only reason why you started bleeding in the first place is because you tried to attach someone’s soul to me. You are the entire reason for everything wrong happening tonight. “
“I was trying to help you-“ i started
“I DON’T NEED YOUR f*****g HELP YANA! THATS THE LAST THING I NEED.” Natalia screamed, catching me off guard
Natalia takes a deep breath in order to collect her thoughts and emotions before speaking once again
“I want you out.” She stated calmly
My eyebrows immediately furrow in confusion as I listen to her speak.
“Excuse me?” I questioned feeling completely confused and offended
“I can no longer continue risking my life everyday living here with you. Especially if you are going to continue to put us both in danger. This home no longer belongs to you. I want you gone by sky-fall tomorrow.” She explains as she begins making her way towards the stairs, walking past my form.
Slight tears threatened to brim my eyes as I listened to her speak.
No way she’s kicking me out
No way she’s abandoning me
We are supposed to be in this together for eternity.
How dare she turn her back on me like this?
“Where am I even supposed to go?!” I called out as I watched her climb her way up the stairs
“I don’t know, but you can’t stay here.”
“How can you do this to me?! How dare you turn your back on me like this. We are sisters! We are never supposed to abandon each other!” I yell as a tear slips from my eye as I look up at Natalia in emotional distress
As Natalia makes her way to the top of the railing, she then turns her body around in order to look at me face to face from the top of the staircase.
“We stopped being sisters the moment you killed the rest of them. I tried being here for you, protecting you, and caring for you but you don’t care about anyone other than yourself and you always have. Please don’t make this any harder than it needs to be.” She spoke calmly before turning on her feet and disappearing into the dimly lit hallways.
I stood in the middle of the room in complete and utter shock. I can’t believe she’s really kicking me out and abandoning me.
I would never do this to her.
How dare she?
