" WELL GOODBYE FLETCHER !." I screamed loudly a horror stricken expression on my face and continued running blindly into the darkness, to run to only God knows where, until-----

" Obsidian----! Obsidian----! "
"Wake up, stupid! " a voice called out .
"Leave me alone, I want to sleep". I murmured, stirring and burying my face into the pillow, since it was a Saturday morning.
"Wake up!.Do you know how long you've been screaming 'Aaahh, nooo'' at the top of your lungs?".
I sighed putting the covers over my head. That was basically my dad , Marlins Revenant. He mimicks everyone in the family when they are in the trouble. Weird ,right?.
"Get up or you'll be left behind! we need to load the truck," he added, tossing away a clean dress onto the edge of my bed.I forced open my heavy, reddish- brown eyes and glared at him angrily, still trying to shake the memory of the creatures claws from my mind .
My dad finally turned and walked out of the room, his heavy boot thudding down the hallway towards the kitchen. The smell of frying bacon and fresh coffee began to drift through my door, but it did absolutely nothing to calm the frantic racing of my heart.
I Sat up rubbing my temples , my shirt was completely soaked in cold sweat.
"Just a dream", I muttered to myself, swing my legs over the edge of the bed.
"It was just a stupid dream".
I looked down at the floor, expecting to see Fletcher waiting for his morning scratch and feed ,but the old rug was empty.
"Fletcher?" I called out, my voice coming out raspy.
Usually, the sound of my voice or the rustle of my blankets would have him barreling into the room, tail wagging. But the house was dead silent except for the clicking of plates downstairs. I reached down to grab my shoes from under my bed ,but my hand brushed against something strange on the hardwood floor. It felt sticky. cold.
I leaned down to work.
Right beside my bedpost ,freshly dragged across the wood, were three deep parallel gouges. Floating right next to the scratched was a single, stiff tuft of Fletcher's golden fur, matted together by a dark ,drying purple stain.
My breath caught in my throat. I looked around my room, only to find my window, the glass completely clear, except for a paint greasy smudge on the outside, shaped exactly like the palm of a small, narrow hand.
"HOLY MOTHER OF F***K TOWN".
