The next morning , it rained hard. Kacy woke up and got dressed. His things were already packed and his ticket was already bought.

All he needed to do was tell Karma and the kids what was going on with him. The drive to Kat and Dion house wasn't really a long one and when Dion opened the door, he engulfed Kacy in a hug.

Kacy laughed a little and pushed him off "nigga wassup with you?"

"Kat told me you was leaving" he said as they walked inside "And how you want us to watch the kids while you gone. And you don't know how long you'll be gone"

Kacy laughed "Yes, that's true"

"Well whatever you looking for, find it soon. Cause Moe and all them damn questions she be asking. Then ask why, it's too much"

"You want kids, right?"

"Oh damn, you right. Anyway, the kids in the room" Dion pointed towards the back and walked away. Kacy walked to the back of the room to see Moe and Keegan. Keegan sat up against a large teddy bear, and looked at Moe as she talked his head off.

"Daddy!" Moesha yelled as Kacy walked through the door. She ran up to him ans hugged his legs "We're going home today?"

"No, we're going to see Karma. It's something I need to tell y'all" he picked up Keegan and kisses his cheek. Kacy drove over to Karmas house and was shocked to see that she opened the door. "You're getting around betta?"

She nodded and smiled when she saw Moe and Keegan. "Come in"

Kacy walked over to the couch and made sure to move the pillow so Karma could sit down comfortably. She thanked him and sighed once she was sitting down.

"So, what brings you by?"

"It's something I needa tell ya, ma" he started. "Everything feels like a lie. I went to see Kenton the other day and I asked him some s**t. Got some answers I wasn't expecting. My momma lied to me for so long. Kenton lied to me for so long. And the last few days, I been trying to figure out what's real and what's not. "

Karma reached out and grabbed his hand, squeezing it. She wanted to let him know , she was there for him.

Kacy squeezed her hand back and kissed the top of it "Except this. What we have, I know it's real Karma. I don't know if this what ya wanna hear but I'm so fuckin sorry for everything I did ta' ya. I was wrong and stupid for hurting the person I'm in love with. I'm stupid for hurting the only person that looked out for me and wanted better for me"

Kacy started to tear up a little and he sighed, "I don't deserve you baby, I really don't. And I understand why ya wouldn't wanna get back with me after all the chances I had but I'm asking, please. Don't leave me and don't take my kids from me"

Karma ignored the pain she was in and moved closer to him. She hugged him tight and kissed his cheek. "Kacy, I'd never do that ok? Even if we don't get back together, I'll still be here for you. You know that. And Moe and Keegan, you'll be able to are them whenever you want "

Hearing that, Kacy felt a little better. He inhalded Karmas scent as she slowly started to pull away. She wiped his tears and smiled a little "That's all you wanted to say? It wasn't that bad"

"That's not all" he cleared his throat "I needa get away for a lil bit. Leave the state and go to new Orleans. Anything to get my mind off everything that's goin' on here. "

"Wait, you're leaving?" Karma asked.

"Yea, and I don't know fa' how long"

The room grew silent as Karma still held onto Kacy's hand. She couldn't believe he was about to leave. And he didn't know when he'd be back? That made things much worse.

Kacy started to pull his hand away slowly as he stood up. He made his way back to where the kids were . "Moe, come here"

Moesha walked over to Kacy and he kneeled down in front of her. "Listen baby girl. I'm leaving for a lil while ok? I'll be back in a lil bit though"

"Where ya going?" She asked.

"To see family. In another state"

"When you coming back?" She asked, sadly.

"I don't know. Soon though, I promise" he held out his pinky and she wrapped her small one around his. "Ok? I love you, Gimmie a kiss"

Moesha hugged Kacy and kissed his cheek "I love you too"

Kacy stood and walked over to Keegan. Picking him up , Keegan smiled as drool fell from his lip. "I'll see you soon , lil man. Ok? I love you"

He kissed Keegan on his cheek before setting him down on the floor. He walked back towards the front of the house , to see Karma still in the same place she was in before.

He walked to hug and kiss her before he left, but didn't think she'd allow it. Reaching for the door knob, he stopped when he heard his name. Karma was off the couch and she limped over to him. "When are you leaving?"

"My flight is tomorrow, early morning"

"Stay the night, please"

And he did. As the night went on, they didn't have s*x, but they did hold each other all night. They held onto each other like it was the last time and honestly, it might be.

Neither of them knew if the separation would be good and bring them closer together or if it'd be bad, and they'd be further apart then ever.

When the time came for Kacy to leave, Karma sat up on the bed and watched as Kacy got dressed. He looked at her, caught in her gaze.

"Ya know I'm coming back" he hugged her.

"Please, be careful out there Kacy"

He knew exactly what she mean by those words too. She was telling him not to hurt her, anymore than he already did.

"I will baby. I can get a kiss befo' I go?"

Karma smiled a little "You're not slick"

He shrugged and laughed "I tried though"

Shockingly to him, Karma placed a gentle and soft kiss in his lips. "I love you Kacy. And I hope you get better while out in new Orleans. I'll be here , waiting, when you get back"

"I love you too"

After kissing the kids goodbye, Kacy left and drove to the airport. Two hours later, he arrived in New Orleans.

"So he's gone" Ash stated "And you're fine with that?"

"I mean, kinda. He felt like being here was too much for him and he needed to get away. I just wish he knew how I had his back instead of running and leaving me. We both going through something, we could've worked on things together"

"Everyone handles things differently baby girl" Kat told her. "But on to bright things, you think you'll be ok with him being gone?"

Karma nodded.

"Good cause these were by your door when we got here" Ash revealed the bouquet of roses with a card attached.

Karma smiled and rolled her eyes. She grabbed the roses and smelled them. "I don't know if it's just me but I feel like this separation will be good"

"I'm glad you're looking at the brighter side of things. I'm tired of seeing my friend sad and in pain but how was physical therapy?"

Karma rolled her eyes "My therapist is a major flirt, for one. I don't think he cares that I'm technically still married"

"Just trying to get his d**k wet" Ash mumbled.

"Well he's looking in the wrong direction cause that won't happen with me. But he says I'm getting better. Walking is easier but bending over and too much force on my ribs hurts"

Moesha walked inside the room, carefully holding Keegan. Kat grabbed Keegan and held him on her lap. "My babies getting bigger"

Karma smiled "Moe, you ok?"

She nodded.

"I'm about to cook you something to eat. What you want ?"

"Um I want corn bread"

"That's it? Just corn bread?" Karma laughed. Moesha nodded "How about ham, Mac and cheese with corn bread"

"Yes that sounds good"

Kat continued to play with Keegan and Ash sat up, stretching. "I have to go, y'all. I gotta get Morgan from her grandmother house"

She said her goodbye , leaving Kat with the kids and Karma. "So I told Dion I'm ready for kids" Kat smiled.

"Ok, and? What'd he say?"

"It's more of what he did" She laughed "Oh s**t, Moe I forgot you was here"

Karma laughed too "So, y'all worked on it? Or are working on it?"

"Oh we definitely working on it. All night long"

"Nasty ass"

"Says the one with a whole baby"

The women laughed and were soon in the kitchen, cooking. Moesha helped out while Keegan was in his baby chair, chewing his fingers and drooling.

Music played in the background and Keegan did a loud scream as he bounced, dancing to the sound. Karma smiled and pulled out her phone, recording her baby dance.

"Go baby, go" Moe yelled as she danced with Keegan. He smiled and raised his hands over his head, dancing more.

"He obviously likes Kevin gates" Kat laughed. Karma sent the video to Kacy, knowing he'd enjoy seeing his son.

Kacy's phone rang and he received a message from Karma. He played the video and watching his son and daughter have such wide smiles, made him smile.

He could tell Keegan would grow up to love Kevin Gates too. The way he danced, seemed like he was putting his all into it.

Shutting his phone off, Kacy looked off at the house he was parked in front of. He sighed and mumbled to himself as he opened his car door and walked to the house.

Nervous honestly wasn't the word for his he was feeling. For so long, Kacy always thought it was just him, Kenton, his mom and his dad.

He totally forgot about his grandparents. Rose and Jerold. Knocking on the door, he could hear people inside talking. It sound like more than just two people.

The door flew open and Rose stood at the door. She held her hand over her mouth as tears of joy ran down her cheeks.

"My baby!" She smiled, pulling him into a hug. "I thought your mother was playing games with me but she wasn't. You're really here"

Kacy smiled and hugged his grandmother back. His eyes scanned the room and laid on many other people. People he never met before.

"Kacy, this is your family. From great aunts and uncles, to new born cousins"
