Stacy and Loretta walked in Karma's hospital room and she smiled a little when she saw them. It was nice to see some familiar faces instead of another nurse or doctor.

"How you feeling baby?" Stacy asked. Loretta started fluffing her pillows and made sure she was tucked in.

"Alright. Kinda. Sore, very. Everywhere"

"They got you in some medicine? I could get some weed for you"

Loretta and Karma looked at Stacy and she smiled.

"Just kidding"

"Whatever you say, momma. Anyway, y'all seen Kacy lately?"

Stacy and Loretta gave her a look "Thought you ain't care about him"

"I never said I didn't care about him. Of course, I do. But I'm just so tired" she mumbled, leaning back against the pillows. "Like I know everyone makes mistakes. I understand that but like, he keeps making them. Over and over. This is the second time I filed for divorce. I haven't spoken to him since his brother hit me, the first time"

"Kenton hit you once before?" Loretta asked shocked.

"Yea, knocked Keegan from my arms and all"

"Oh my" Stacy mumbled.

"Like, I feel like all this happens not because of Kacy but he played a huge part in it. He had so many chances, like when I begged him to stay. Like when I put up with all his disrespectful behavior. But he didn't stop even though he knew he was hurting me. He told me he didn't care that he hurt me" Karma clapped her hands "So I feel like I've come to my ends with him"

The room grew silent. Neither Loretta or Stacy knew what to say.

"I love that man so much" She began to tear up "God knows I do. I'd do anything for him. But it's only so much I can take. I don't want to take him back and after all he's put me through, he does something again because he knows I'll take him back. Or I take him back and it's for nothing"

Loretta grabbed Karmas hand. "Listen. Kacy's my son and I love him. But what he did to you, I agree, wasn't right. He's a grown ass man and the way he treated you, to please his brother, was horrible. And going back to him, so soon, won't be such a smart move. But my advice, distance"

"Yes, that sounds great" Stacy agreed "Distance yourself from him. Physically but most importantly emotionally and mentally. You two just need space"

"But I don't know if I could be away from him for so long. Since the day we met, we've basically been attached by the hip"

"Yea, no kidding there" Stacy joked, getting a laugh from Karma and Loretta "But that just proves our point."

Karma looked down at her hands and sighed.

"Right now, he has the kids" Loretta spoke up "He said he's gonna step up and prove himself to you. He also said he's not signing those divorce papers"

Karma laughed.

"But let him care for the kids while you heal up, K. Let that be step one to him proving himself. "

Kacy talked to himself as he tried for the second time to put on the diaper. When he finished, he raised Keegan who was nibbling on his fingers, and examined the diaper. Kacy looked down at Moesha and she looked up at him.

"Good?" He asked.

"Good" Moesha smiled.

"Alright then" he put a onesie on Keegan and the three of them made their way into the kitchen of their new place. Since the while incident that took place at his home, Kacy thought it'd be better for a different home.

A few things were still packed up but Kacy mostly unpacked and cleaned when Keegan and Moesha were asleep.

Putting the baby carrier over his chest, Kacy slipped Keegan inside and strapped him in. "So what we having for dinner , Moe?"

"Hm, spaghetti" she yelled, excited. "I'll help you"

"No, go make sure you have all your stuff ready for school tomorrow. And pick out your outfit"

"Then I can help?"

"Yes, then you can help"

Moesha made her way back to her room just as someone knocked on the front door. Kacy looked down at Keegan, who was already looking at him. "Who's that?"

He walked to the front door and slowly pulled it open. He sighed "Yes Ashton?"

"I heard what happen to Kar-" he stopped "Is this the baby? My grandson?"

Kacy nodded "Yea"

Ashton stared down at Keegan and smiled, before looking at Kacy. "I heard what happen to Karma. Is she ok?"

"She's doing iight but she ain't here. She at the hospital"

"Ok, ok. Thank you"

Before Ashton could race out the house, Kacy stopped him. "When you see her, tell her I love her"

"No problem"

1 week later

Ash made sure Karma was comfortable on her bed while Kat brought in all her things from the car. Karma groaned and ran her hand over her wrapped ribs.

Ash and Kat laid on the bed "Anything else you need?"

"No, I'm good"

"Good cause I'm tired as f**k" Kat mumbled.

"b***h, you aint even do nothing. I'm the one that had to carry Karma heavy ass"

"Excuse me?" Karma laughed.

"My bad"

Kat reached under the bed and grabbed Karmas box of honey buns. "Where my baby at? I miss him"

"Wouldn't miss him if you had your own"

"Is that shade?" Kat laughed "But really. I don't want kids"

"Don't let Dion hear you say that" Ash said.

"Right, he'll lose his mind. Again" Karma agreed "But how y'all gonna deal with that?"

Kat shrugged "Don't know yet. It'll come to me though"

"Or c*m in you" Karma laughed as her and Ash slapped hands. "Wait, ow ow"

"That's what you get" Kat threw a piece of candy at them both. "But how you feel Karma? You need your medicine?"

"Damn, trying to dope me up? I already took it and it's every 6 hours"

The doorbell rang and Ash got up to answer it. "Ugh" she groaned.

"You ugly too, the f**k?" Dion laughed as he pushed past her "Now where my bestie?"

"Dion!" Karma yelled from the bedroom. Morgan walked in after and instead of baby Morgan being with him, he had Moe and Keegan.

And Kacy.

Ash smiled and hugged him " Glad you're here" she said in his ear "She's in the room" with Keegan in his arms, Kacy slowly walked into Karmas bedroom and when he did, all talking stopped.

He walked over to Karma and passed Keegan to her. After, he walked away and stood by the room door. He didn't speak one word.

"Karma!" Moesha yelled "You ok? That bad man hurt you?"

"Yes but I'm ok Moe. You're being good for Kacy? And helping him with Keegan?"

She nodded "I help him cook and change the baby. And look" she shook her head, showing off her hair "he even did my hair. All my friends love it"

"Yea?" Karma looked at Kacy and smiled a little before looking at Moesha "I love it too"

"Beat friend time" Dion plopped on the bed and smiled wide "How you feeling?"

"Can everyone please stop asking? I'm ok, really" she smiled "I'm better now though, that all my friends are here. Anyway, guess who came to see me in the hospital?"

"Your dad" Kacy mumbled. He looked up and noticed everyone was watching him "My bad"

"How'd you know?" Karma asked.

"He stopped by my place that night asking fa' you. He looked worried"

She rolled her eyes "Far from it. You know what he had the audacity to ask me?" She was making direct eye contact with Kacy, leading him to believe she was only speaking to him.

And she was.

"What?"

"If anything happens to me, can I donate an organ to his wife"

"Dead ass?"Kacy asked "That's f****d up. How could he ask ya something like that?"

"Cause he's an ass, that's why" the room grew silent "Surprised you didn't say but he's ya father"

Kacy laughed "Nah, not this time. He crossed the line with that"

Karma smiled and that's when they both remembered other people were in the room with them. If Karma was any lighter, her cheeks for sure would've been red.

The sound of Karmas stomach echoed through the room and it made everyone laugh. "Damn fat ass"

"Shut up Dion" she laughed. "I can't help it, I'm hungry"

"like always" Morgan yawned out "I want something to eat too. I'm in the mood for seafood from that shack"

"The seafood shack?" Dion said in a duh tone. "Go ahead and get some. When you do though, I want-"

Everyone started rambling on about what they wanted from the seafood shack and Morgan gave them all a look.

"The hell? I ain't say I was going"

"But Morgan" Karma pouted.

"Your head looks long as f**k when you do that" he mumbled.

She rolled her eye's. "Now I have to pee"

"Well look at the time" Dion spoke, looking at his wrist that didn't have a watch on it. Everyone else started to follow Dion out.

Everyone except Kacy.

"Could you help me out?" She asked him, setting Keegan to the side.

"Yea, I got you"
