In the cafe,
Nora: "When I first saw you, I felt like I'd known you for years."
Aarav: "Yeah, I felt the same. When I first saw you, it was like I already knew you."
Nora gazed into his eyes, seeing her own reflection staring back. Suddenly unsettled, she broke eye contact.Just then, she saw Magnus and Noah through the window.
Nora: Aarav, look! That's Magnus with Noah
Aarav: Oh, yeah.
"Wait a minute, I'll be right back," Nora said, rushing out of the cafe. She pulled out her phone to call Magnus. Aarav sat at the table, a strange, uneasy feeling settling in his chest.
Magnus: Hello
Nora: Hello, Magnus! I'm here, look to your left.
Before she could finish, a van screeched to a halt, and before she could react, someone pulled Nora inside.
Magnus screamed, "Nora.." and ran toward the van. Suddenly, Aarav burst out of the cafe. He used his powers to cause the van to crash. Just as it hit, he created an invisible shield to protect Nora.
Aarav was now visible to everyone. He pulled Nora from the van. She was unconscious. An ambulance arrived quickly, and Aarav and Magnus went with her to the hospital.
At the hospital, Magnus and Noah waited for news.
The doctor came out and said, "She is conscious now. You can go in and talk to her."
Magnus and Noah went inside.
Magnus: Hey, are you okay?
Nora: Yeah.
Magnus: Who were those people? Why were they trying to kidnap you?
Nora: I don't know.
Magnus: Thank God nothing worse happened.
Nora: Hmm.
Magnus: Did someone help us? Did you see who it was, Noah?
Noah: No, Magnus. He isn't here anymore.
Nora looked toward the corner of the room and smiled at Aarav, who was invisible to everyone else.
Noah: You should get some rest, Nora.
Nora: Hmm.
Magnus: We need to file a police report.
Noah: Yes, we do.
Just then, Elora heard about the accident. She ran to the hospital and rushed into Nora's room.
Elora: Nora.. What happened to you? Are you okay?
Magnus: Yeah, she's okay.
Nora: Yeah, I'm fine.
Elora: Oh my god, I was so worried about you
Nora: I'm okay, Elora.
Elora: How did the accident happen?
Magnus explained everything that occurred.
Elora: Who were those people? Why did they try to kidnap her?
Magnus: We don't know, but we are going to file a police report.
Elora: Yeah, you should.
Magnus: Take care of her. I'll be back soon.
Elora : Yaah
Magnus and Noah stepped out of the room.
Magnus: Thank you for staying with us.
Noah: No, it's fine.
Magnus: You've been here a long time. You should go home; we'll take care of her here.
Noah: Yaah,If you need any help, please let me know.
Magnus: Okay, thanks
Noah: Okay Take care Bye
Magnus : Bye
In room
Elora: Get some rest, Nora. I'll be back soon.
Nora: Yeah.
When Elora left, Nora looked at Aarav.
Aarav: Do you feel better now?
Nora: Yeah, I'm fine.
Aarav came and sat next to her.
Nora: I heard that you are visible to others.
Aarav: Yeah.
Nora: For me?
Aarav: For my duty.
They both laughed
Elora entered the room.
Elora: Who are you talking to?
Nora: Talking? I... I'm talking on the phone.
Elora: Oh.
Aarav smiled at what Nora had said.
In their dark hideout, the silence was heavy.Clen called Elden,
Elden: What happened?
Clen: Our van had an accident. She escaped.
Elden: Again, he crossed our path.
Elden cut the call. The hideout felt cold and suffocating. Clen looked down at the floor, then back up. The street lamp outside flickered and died, plunging him into darkness. Then, the rhythmic click-clack of metal against stone began-the sound of someone slowly ascending the steps.
"Clen," one of his men whispered, his voice shaking. "He's coming inside."
Clen turned to look, but he wasn't looking at the door. He was staring at the floorboards, his eyes wide with a terror I'd never seen before.
"He isn't coming inside," Clen whispered as the door handle began to turn. "He's already in the room with us."
