"I need to talk to you." Aarav said Nora replied "Yeah, I'm listening." Aarav : Nora, I'm your protector. Nora : Hah! What are you saying? Aarav : "I'm your spirit guide." Nora : Are you mad? Do you really expect me to trust you? Aarav took a step toward her. Suddenly, the warm air disappeared, and it became freezing cold. She shivered and hugged herself. She looked around, confused-the street lights were still on and it was supposed to be summer, but the ground under her feet felt like ice. "What is happening?" she whispered Aarav stood still, not affected by the freezing air at all.He looked at her,his eyes unblinking. Suddenly, the cold vanished. Everything went back to normal. She looked around; people were walking by and cars were driving past as if nothing at all had happened. Nora thought to herself, If he is real, does that mean I am finally losing my mind? Aarav answered, "You are not losing your mind, Nora." Nora stared at him, her heart still racing. "If you are my spirit guide, how am I seeing you now? Why haven't I seen you until today?" Aarav held her gaze,"I don't know why you can see me now, Nora. But you are the only one who can." Aarav : We should go home. Everyone thinks you are just talking to yourself. Nora felt surprised and confused as she began to walk. They walked together they reached her house and stepped inside Nora turned to look at him, her eyes wide with a mix of disbelief and genuine delight. "So," she said, "you are my spirit guide? You're here to help me stay aligned with my soul's path, offering wisdom and protection?" Aarav : Yeah while sipping her coffee, Nora : Why haven't I been able to see you until now? Aarav replied, "I honestly don't know." As they walked down the street, Nora : Do you know every detail about me? "I do," Aarav said. "I became your spirit guide when you turned fifteen." Nora : So, I had a different spirit guide before? Why was he changed? "His duty was over," Aarav explained. "That is why." Later, in the library, as Nora placed the books back on the shelves, she turned to him. "Okay, how has your work been? What is your client number now?" Aarav looked at her. "You are my first." While they were on the bus, Nora asked, "So, you've never been a spirit guide to anyone else? I'm your first?" "Yeah," Aarav confirmed. Nora : It still feels unbelievable.
