chapter one: dracumel's castle

1084 Words
Every teenager hates waking up in the morning because of school. They just don't like it -some of them love learning but hate waking up at seven in the morning- and it's also so tiring because you haven't slept well or something. But Sophia loved waking up in the mornings. She gets to swim in the lake -if there's one near-, listen to birds singing and watch her brother cover their tracks with magic. Though, she hated nightfall. She wasn't scared of the dark but afraid of being found by the rest of the warlocks while being asleep or not being able to see. She was also afraid of thunder and lightning and when it's raining she either doesn't sleep or she sleeps in the arms of her good, overprotective brother. But Sophia didn't wake up on her own that day. She woke up to her brother shaking her awake. His eyes showed panic and she knew that someone found them. She rubbed her hands on her eyes, trying to get the sleep away and looked up to her older brother. Marcus looked around before he looked at her in the eyes. "Soph, you need to run. I will hold them off but you need to run to Alpha Matthew and Luna Chloe, okay?" he wasn't asking. His tone gave that away. He was pleading her to run like whatever was out there was after her only and not him. Not anymore. "But you promised, family together forever" her eyes became glossy and she sniffed. She didn't want to leave him. Marcus was all she had left. Marcus shook his head and kissed her forehead. "I am not leaving. I am just going to hold them off and then, get you from Luna Chloe, okay?" Sophia nodded, knowing she couldn't talk him out of it. He was older, of course, he was going to be overprotective. Everyone is overprotective of their little brother or sister, even if they didn't show it. She reached over to grab her bag but Marcus shook his head. "I'll bring it. This will slow you down. When you get to Alpha Matthew, tell him that the King has found what he was looking for. He'll understand" he more like ordered her, looking deep in her brown eyes. "Do as he says, Sophie" Sophia nodded and almost screamed when she saw the big wolf behind her brother. It was walking slowly towards them like they were its prey. Maybe they were, but Marcus knew better. He shooed his sister away and smiled sadly at her. "Family together..." he ran to the wolf before he started chanting Latin and the beast was thrown three feet away. "Forever" She whispered before she turned her back to him and took off running. She zigzagged through trees and rocks, trying to get as fast as possible to the Alpha of the Red Moon Pack. Alpha Matthew has brown hair and green eyes while his Luna -Luna Chloe- has brown hair and brown eyes. They have a son who happens to be one year old and his name is Mike. He looks exactly like his father but he is a Mummy's boy. Sophia enjoys playing with him. He is the cutest pup ever. He is still learning to talk so he kinda speaks his own language. When she had passed a good distance, she tried to slow down but she sped up again when she heard the faint sound of paws hitting the wet grass as it has rained a few nights ago. She ran as fast as her petite feet could take her. Her breathing became ragged and her feet hurt from all the running and the fact that boots weren't the best running shoes. She needed water and fast but she knew she couldn't stop to drink as the faint sound became louder and louder, as the predator was close but he wasn't alone. No, he had company. But Sophia never gave up, she kept running because her life was depending on it. She knew Alpha Matthew's pack was near and she had to give him the message her brother told her to. Her brother. No, if the wolf is after her it means that Marcus either escaped or he got hurt. She pushed those thoughts away and prayed to the Gods that Marcus was alive and well. A scream left her mouth as a black coloured wolf appeared in front of her. She fell on her butt and she tried pushing herself as far away from it as possible but then, her back hit a tree. She whimpered which also caused the wolf to whimper too. It bowed his head at her and she stared at it wide-eyed. What in the name of Hades? She thought as he watched the wolf trying to get closer and closer. When it finally reached her, she curled into a ball and protected her head with her hands, even though she knew it was pointless. But then, the unexpected happened. Two men appeared behind the wolf and fell on their knees in front of her. "Luna," they said which caused her to shake her head. She wasn't a Luna. She wasn't like Chloe. She wasn't supernatural. The two men grabbed her and placed her onto the black wolf and without a warning, the wolf took off running towards the opposite direction of Alpha Matthew's pack was. The ride wasn't eventful. The wolf just ran and never stopped. She wondered how it wasn't tired but then she thought that it might be a werewolf. Oh, Gods of Olympus, she was sitting on a man or woman. Suddenly, the wolf stopped running and hit its paws on the ground. She took it as a sign to get off of it and she gladly did. The wolf disappeared behind the trees and Sophia was alone in the woods which were starting to become very dark. She looked around for any sign of humans or even wolves but she only saw a castle at the end of the forest. The castle looked exactly like Dracumel's from the smurfs, but it was more dark and larger. She could see some guards from there too. She heard a sound of feet hitting the wet leaves and she turned around to see a guy with no shirt. Although his chest was bare, his face wore the most childish smirk. "Hello, Luna. I am Beta Demetri Hermes Chase. Welcome to the Black Moon Pack."
