Part 7 ~ The first date

Cassius POV

I woke up and saw my angel laying curled up in a ball sleeping peacefully. I got up off the mattress quietly and walked outside, the fresh air welcomed me and I breathed deeply. The smell of the soil, trees and fresh water hung in the air and calmed my nerves and worries.

I kept thinking about the past.

Should I trust her and love her? I know she has had to have been through so much and I want to be with her, but can I let myself fall for her. What If I get hurt again? What will happen then?

I had so many questions, heaps of them and no answers. I knew I was already starting to love my angel for being herself, she would challenge me and test me but make me a better alpha and I knew it.

My brain was on overload and I didn't have any idea what I was going to do, what I was meant to do, I was so confused and lost. Should I tell her about my past or not? It was the forefront question that was eager to have an answer.

I paced for a bit, when I smelt an intoxicating smell and turned around to see my angel behind me.

I smiled happily and she smiled at me, my eyes wandered over her body and I couldn’t help but be thankful for the beautiful wolf in front of me.

We walked together, through the forest and as the sun rose higher in the sky we sat down. I pulled my mate closer to me, as she nestled into my chest.

As we laid in each other’s arms, I wondered if she would ever trust me enough to tell me about her past. After a while we got up and headed back to the den, talking about random stuff.

"So I have to get back to the pack and you have school, then why don't I take you out for dinner?" I asked curiously, as I tilted my head to the side and studied her.

"Like a date?" she replied, I nodded quickly. "Yeah sure, what time?"

I paused and thought about my schedule, before I said, " Um how about I pick you up at 7:00 pm?"

"Yep sure" she answered, before she walked closer to me and kissed my cheek lightly then she strode back in the den.

I stood there dumbfounded. I know what I will do, I will tell her tonight. I walked back to the pack house and found Casey and the rest of the teenagers getting ready for school.

"Hello Alpha, how have you been?" Casey asked sweetly, smiling softly.

"Fine, now get to school." I replied bluntly, her face fell but she walked out of the house.

I hurried up to my office and started to do all the work that I have missed since I have been spending so much time with Aella.

It was 6: 00 pm when I realised the time and I ran out of the office and to my room.

I grabbed some clothes, I laid out earlier on in the day, and got changed. I brushed my hair neatly and was finished with 40 minutes to spare.

I nervously looked myself over in the mirror and ran my hands along my black suit anxiously.

I grabbed my car keys and got my car out of the garage. I looked at the time and see that I had half an hour.

I decided to check that everything was ready for the date, I made sure the location was set, that everything was set up, the food was all good and ready to go and then I set off towards the den.

Aella POV

I grabbed my outfit out of my small cupboard that sat in the corner of the den, at 6:40.

I got changed, slipping the clothes on and they fit like a glove. I left my face without makeup, I don't see the purpose for it but hey if other people want to put make up on they can.

Maybe you should eat some make up so you can be pretty on the inside too. Luna said smirking slightly through the link.

I rolled my eyes and groaned at her immaturity.

I walked outside as I let my hair air dry and by 6:55 Cassius showed up, and damn my eyes wouldn't stay on his face.

I really did try multiple times, but a body like that and it's all mine, well I was drooling and I'm sure you would be too.

He cleared his throat and I saw that his cheeks where a light shade of red, I smiled at the thought of the big bad alpha blushing because someone checked him out.

We walked out of the forest and then my heart stopped, a big smile appeared on my face till my cheeks hurt as I saw the most amazing car ever it was beautiful, I have no idea what type but it was perfect.

I run to the car and slid into the passenger seat, Cassius hopped into the car shaking his head and smiling with a happy glint to his eyes.

We drove for a bit then we ended up at a little beach, we got out and walked out on to the sand. I see a blanket and a picnic basket on a rock overlooking the ocean. We walked over to the rock and Cassius helped me up.

“This is beautiful,” I exclaimed excitedly, as I sat down on the blanket as Cassius spread the food out in front of me.

“Thank you, but baby I think you’re more beautiful than any object, place or person that I will or have seen.” My mate explained sweetly and I felt heat rise up my neck and to my cheeks, as I hung my head.

He brushed my hair away from my face and kissed my head softly, and that simple gesture had my heart beating a hundred beats per second.

The night moved on and was filled with laughter, chatter and eating. The stars had come out to play and filled up the sky with light.

Cassius turned to me suddenly and looked at me, all playfulness gone. I thought of the worst he was going to reject me, I didn't think I could handle being rejected.

"Don't worry I'm not rejecting you, but I do have something to tell you........." Cassius started gently, as he took my hand in his.
