Mario heard the gun shot and became suspicious. He turned at his men and then the ambulance. “I never trusted that ambulance.” He muttered and walked towards the ambulance. The driver saw him coming and wound down the window glass. Maria knew what would happen next as the glass wound down so he did not hesitate to pull his trigger. The ambulance widow shattered to allow bullet dislodge into the drivers head. He died with his head on the steering wheel. Van was not satisfied; he moved to the front of the car and checked, before checking the back. He fired two shots at two of the tyres before looking at the hotel hospital building. He heard more gunshots. The men that went in! The Capo and his family! “No one comes in!” Mario ordered three of his men and asked the rest to come with him. They ran towards the main building of the hospital. Mario saw one of the men who claimed to be a banker. He knew they would make someone guard the entrance since they knew Capo had his men there. He had a duty: to protect the capo so there could be victims of circumstances. He set his machine gun and began to spray bullets at the glass door. He saw the gun man wiggle as bullets riddled into his body before dropping dead. Screams could be heard in the hospital now. Mario and four of his men went into the reception, their alert eyes rummaging the perimeter, fingers set on triggers. “Upstairs.” Mario said. Immediately they began to ascend the stairs, someone came out of the MA’s office and shot at them. A bullet slugged into one of Mario’s men and he dropped on the floor at once, bleeding and jerking to the call of death. Mario pumped bullets into the man’s body continuously until only bullets made him but after he was dead. They continued to ascend the stairs.   *******   “Van!” Sara screamed and stopped moving, her eyes were watery and she was obviously in pains. Van looked at her, and saw a stream of liquid moving down her legs. They were on a long corridor. Some patients who could move left their sick beds, screaming, and running while some where stuck to their beds and some were even unconscious. Van held her and opened a door. It was a ward with a patient an single bed. Sara could not stand on her feet; she lay on the floor, moaning in pain. The patient was unconscious. “Give me a sec.” Van said, untied Angelo and made him stay with his mother. Van opened the door but saw two gun men coming towards the door. He was not astonished. He began to shoot at them. He got one down while the other kicked a door and went into a ward. Van heard nurses screaming inside the ward. Thinking about his wife, unborn child and Angelo, Van ran towards the door the gun man had entered. He knew it was a very dicey step and he had never been pusillanimous. Now it was about his family. The gun man peeped. He had not expected Van to come towards him so the punch he received had been shocking. His head slammed against the door rail and his gun dropped. Van knew he had no time but he had to make a move. “Who sent you?” He pointed the gun at him. “Go to hell Don Van!” “You will go first.” Van said and riddled bullets into his body. The nurses screamed. “Shut up!” Van snarled. He pointed the gun at them. “Come outside.” He had barely finished his making his sentence when he saw another gun man appear. Van fired shots and the man dropped dead. He led the nurses to the ward Sara was and she was already in labor. There was only one bed in the ward and there was an unconscious patient on it so they attended to her while she lay on the floor. Van stood by the door, looking from left to right, ready to pull the trigger at the slightest provocation. Mario and three of the men appeared suddenly after tracing the sounds of the gunshots. Van had raised his gun when Mario shouted, “Capo!” Then they heard the cry of a baby. Sara had given birth. Van did not peep but waited for his men, watching their back in case anyone came from behind. “I hope madam is good sir,” Mario asked, his face glistened with sweat. “I guess so.” Van said. “What is the situation out there?” “One of our men is dead. We got some of them. Another set came in a car claiming to be bankers.’ “Do you have any idea who they are?” “No Sir.” “How many men are outside?” “Three. I told them not to let anyone in. I have not heard any gunshots from outside yes which means they have not encountered new men.” “Okay, stay here. Let each man move to the end of the corridor. You stay here. Sara is…” They heard another cry of a baby. Van moved in and saw a nurse holding the second baby. Sara just gave birth to a set of twins amid fire fracas. Van felt his melting in love and adoration for the infants. Sara was weak and the infants cried. “They are boys.” One of the nurses said. Then they began to hear series of gunshots again. “Where can I find a telephone here?” Van asked sharply, his eyes turning into a vicious line. “There is a telephone in Doctor Sachi’s office.” Van moved out. “It seems they have more men!” Mario said. “Stay here, I will make a phone call.” He said and ran to Doctor Sachi’s office. He came out after two minutes and ran past Mario. “Do not leave here. I am going down.” Van said. “Is dangerous Capo.” Mario said. “Let me go down.” “No Mario. Keep my family safe. I will go down.” Van left but did not go down as he said. Instead, he went into a ward and found a window where he had a clear view of the parking lots. There was a fire fracas between his men and the new sets of gun men that just arrived and were trying to find their way in, From the window, Van set his gun and sent bullets into the car. ****     Doro wore his hat in such a way he almost covered his eyes. His granite hard face set in a macabre expression. He dropped the phone and ran into a big room. “There is a party going on. I just got a call from Capo himself. Get the arsenal open.” ******     In a luxury large living hall laid Conor Oison while two naked girls massaged his body. He closed his eyes as he enjoyed the soft hands that ran over his body, dabbing, caressing, and squeezing to his enjoyment. He raised his head, took a sip of wine and lay back. He opened his eyes as he heard steps. “Ramon.” Conor said. “I guess it is done.” “I thought his name was Kij.” Another voice was heard a Van and his men walked in. “Kij is the what? Accident Emergency what?” Conor could not believe his eyes. This was Don Van in his residence. How? “You are surprised, huh?” Van smiled, “lovely girl you have here . I mean  life is so good. I am sorry I barged in here like this. We have not before right? I am  Don Van Aka Shoe-Man. It is quiet unfortunate we are meeting under such a circumstance. What do you have there? Ohhh, red wine. I love red wine.” Van moved and picked the bottle and poured himself a glass of wine. He took a sip, grabbed one of the girls and began to dance with her. She danced with fear displayed on her face. “Any Little fish..what a great song by Noel coward. You do know how to roll Conor. Enjoying a massage from these ravishing belles, sipping wine, enjoying music while your men kill me and my family. Is that not a great way to relax?” “You touched us first.” “Really?” Van stopped dancing and let the girl go. “ Thank you my lady. Conor Little Deer..I guess that is the  Meaning of Oisin in Irish. “little deer.” In Irish mythology, Oisin was a poet-hero, son of legendary warrior Fionn MacCool and the goddess Sive. His mother was turned into a deer by the Dark Druid, and she raised him in the forest for seven years; when his father found him while hunting, he recognized the boy as his own son and gave him the name “little deer, am I correct?” I love Irish history and if not for the streets, I would have been a professor in history right now. Did you say I touched you first? No. I do not touch anyone but only defend myself or retaliate. It does not matter if you are Irish, Italian, American or even an alien. The first guys that stepped on my toes were my fellow Italians. I did settle it with them.” “We know you are behind the Valentine’s day killing.” “There were two. One was made popular and the second was classified.” Van said and chuckled. “I love classified. I hate publicity. Anyway, it seems you are digging into my life and I don’t like it. I am not into the north side, Southside s**t. I am into my own empire. I have allies at all angles. So why did you send your boys to kill me and my family?” “You killed my man and fed in my territory.” “I have killed many men. Which one are you talking about?” “Drac.” Van frowned, turned at Mario who stood grimly behind him. “Who the hell is Drac?” “The man who lead the attack against Andre.” Van looked at Conor and frowned. “You mean you mobilized men to kill me for that rat? This is an insult to my personality. I don’t even know him. He was bullying my man and was about to kill him. I did not even know Andrea was selling there. I only saved him. How much are you talking about? Both of them do not worth fifty thousand dollars an d you drag me into this for that?” “He is part of the family and we look after each other.” “Did you know that my wife had to give birth amid fire fracas? With my poor innocent children there? I lost some men and I will have to take care of their wives and baby mamas. I had to call in my Dark men as backups and that made us got some of your men and got them to talk. I know you would not expect a quick retaliation so I just made sure my wife and my children were taken home and we came here immediately. You know what? You are stupid! Now I had to kill twelve of your men to get in here apart from the idiots we wasted.” Van turned at Kij and fired two bullets into his body. The girls screamed as they saw Kij drop dead. “You see? You just made these girls get scared and it is all your fault.” Van turned at the girls, “I am sorry ladies but the truth is…when you live with a mobster, you must expect the life of a mobster to have an impact on you. I know that so I am not astonished that my twins had to come amid fire fracas. That is the inevitability of our business and we must live with that. Meanwhile, you did not congratulate me, I just welcomed a set of twins and you may have induced the child birth. I thank you for that.” “My men will come after you.” Conor threatened. ‘you can’t kill me here.” “I can.” Van said and fired two bullets into his head. He turned and went out. Mario and six of the men followed Van but Doro who had stood still like a statue all these wile did not move an inch. He allowed Van go out before he lodged bullets into the girls. “What was that?” Van asked. “Witnesses are weakness, Capo.” Doro said in his deep voice, his glassy deadly eyes set on the bodies. “I think we must find a way of wiping memories of few hours. I don’t like killing but I am not blaming you. If you don’t want to get caught up I this, don’t hang out with mobsters. My father used to say, show me your friends and I will tell you who you are. Burn the house. Everything! I need to go and see my babies.” ******
