Carina walked through the large corridor made with marble walls and large stain glass windows. She hastened her pace as she heard the horses approaching outside. Her husband’s brother was home to visit for a while and her heart was bursting with happiness. You may thing she was wrong for these feelings, but she has known both men since she was a child. Carina is from a very noble family within England and she was always meant to marry Wallace as she did. Terrance, his brother had always had her heart first. The man never gave her a time of day, but still Carina urned for his touch. It had been five years since he left to visit other European countries as was his duty as a prime minister. She always wondered how things had changed since he left. On her end, she married Wallace a year after he left. Carina wasn’t happy about it, but as her mother promised she was becoming fond of Wallace. He was kind, generous, and quiet handsome. “Carina my love,”his husky voice snapped her out of her thoughts as she entered the court yard. Wallace smiled with his hand out for hers. His muscular arms reached from his tall 6’ 2” figure. His brown curly locks waved in the wind, how she could only be fond of this man she didn’t even understand. “Wallace has your brother arrived. He should have been here hours ago,” she said with a worry in her eye. “I hope nothing happened along the road. Wallace smiled to reassure her and motioned her to the hill in the distance. There he was, Terrance, he had only gotten more handsome since. He heart fluttered, but she kept a gracefully posture and proper presentation. Wallace knew his wife’s feelings toward his brother, but she would never show her feelings in front of him. “Brother!” Wallace yelled as Terrance rode through the gates. His body towered on top of the black mare. His horse was large for a mare, but he seemed to be bigger. The man hoped off his horse and hugged his brother. “It is good to see you Wallace,” Terrance said in a joyous tune. Carina smiled as she watched the two men reunite and hoped Terrance would remember her. In their past Terrance would always tease, but forgetting who she was everyday. She always wanted him to just acknowledge her without a tease. She coughed a bit to signal Wallace to say hi. “Oh yes. Terrance I am sure your remember Carina. We have been married for four years now,” Wallace said with a big smile as if to say he won. “We missed you at the wedding Terrance,” Carina whispered. She was so ready to see him she had forgotten how hard it was for her to speak in front of him. The man smiled as he walked up to her and took a strand of fallen hair from her face. He tucked it back into the braid on her head feathering his finger across her cheek. “How could I ever forget miss Carina. I do apologize for being gone for so long,” his mouth curled with a smile that she had never seen before.
