Gym class is the only period where I can relax. Leaving the locker room, I went outside to the baseball field, where the class was meeting. Andy and Jordan were beside me and our eyes settled upon a familiar figure coming onto the field. Chloé wore the same gym uniform, a gray short-sleeved t-shirt and red shorts. I did not expect to see her and my heart dropped.
Even in gym clothes, Chloé still looked beautiful. Her brown locks were pulled up in a ponytail and the way she walked was breathtaking. She looked so strong, so confident. She wasn’t even trying to get attention, but she was getting it anyway. Word had spread about her. They know that she was arrested and that she sent a woman to the hospital. And to Maggie’s horror, everyone knows that they are related.
