Chapter 2

275 Words
Chloé I can’t believe this is happening. I can’t believe my parents are shipping me to my aunt and uncle. I don’t want to live with them. I know they’ll ask me questions and I know they’ll watch every move I make. Besides, Maggie will talk behind my back. I already know she’s complaining that I’m coming. Man, what a b***h. She fooled everyone that she’s a sweet pea when we were kids, but I know the real her. She’s cruel and mean. I feel bad for her boyfriend. What’s his name? Patrick? Bruce? Doesn’t matter. He’s the i***t dating her and living with her. How did that happen? Something about his parents’ divorce. Who cares? I need to find a way out. I can’t and don’t want to stay with them. My dad gave me a choice: boarding school or my uncle’s. I chose boarding school for the protection it gave. I could easily hide there, but no. Uncle Mack had to jump in telling my dad that he can change me, but Uncle Mack is wrong. He can’t change me, not after what happened. No one knows. No one will ever know. Before I leave my home, I need to take money from my dad’s vault. I know where he hides it and I know the code. Then, like a good little girl, I will go to my uncle’s and stay till I come up with a plan. I can’t stay. I need to leave, need to hide. Nothing will change my mind. I can’t stay with my uncle. Hell, I can’t stay in the country. I must leave. I need to leave.
