His Story

Paisley's POV

After he had left, I went to the kitchen to have my breakfast. The maid were busy with their days job when I walked in.

"Would you like to have breakfast now child" I heard Miss Rose say as I walked in.

I turned to look at her gentle gaze which was fixed in me, "Yes" I replied and she immediately went to the pot herself and fetched me a plate of sausage and potato mash.

"Take a sit child" she said as she held my hand to the table set which was in the kitchen. She placed the food opposite me handing over the spoon to me and gesturing for me to eat.

"Thank you ma'am" I said as I collected the spoon.

"Call me aunt Rose, we're family now you know, you're part of the Nightshade Nook pack now" she said to me and I nodded with a smile. "If you need anything just beckon on any of the maids to assist you" she said again before leaving.

After she left, I hurried with my meal and came out to walk around the villa. The villa was large I must say, with various beautiful flowers around. I walked forward, the villa seemed to be located close to the mountains as I saw the levitating structure.

It was a bit cold outside and I needed a run, I looked around me and saw no one, I dipped my hand into my pocket and brought out my wolf bracelet. The wolf bracelet was a bracelet worn by werewolves for two reasons, one was to prevent us from unwillingly shifting into our wolf form in the full moon, and second was to prevent our clothes from getting torn while we shifted to our wolf form.

I shifted into my wolf form allowing my wolf to take over, she howled loudly as the cold breeze brushed against her fur. She then took off climbing the mountain, it was filled with trees and the temperature at the upper part of the mountain was different, she climbed until she came to a cliff and I immediately shifted into my human form.

I sat on the cliff picking stones and throwing them down to while away time. I seemed to had gotten away from the eyes of Dexter, or so I was thinking.

However I was very sure he couldn't barge into the Nightshade Nook Pack, even still, I'm mated to the Alpha so he should still have some respect, also that depends on who the Alpha was.

I didn't know much about the Alpha of the Nightshade Nook pack as he was rarely talked about as only few outsiders had seen him. Though rumor had it that he was a descendant of the legendary werewolf who had cultivated for a hundred and sixty years and was able to ascend to godhood. Still that didn't saw much, others said that he was very powerful and he was so cold and cruel without any iota of feeling.

But that couldn't really be accepted as an good description, he did seem quite cold and domineering that night, and also his spiritual power seemed very high, I could feel it from his smell and his aura. But the fact still remained that I couldn't trust him yet, who knows if all Alpha's were the same, Dexter only wanted power and he went to the extent of stealing my life source, I couldn't let someone take advantage of me again.

Suddenly an idea came into my mind, if I could talk the head maid into telling me more about him, probably I could know better who I'm dealing with, I stood up with much excitement as I kicked against a stone which went flying a far distance. I hoped it didn't land on something valuable, but still I couldn't care less.

I looked up to check the distance of the sun so as to predict the time as I didn't have my phone with me. "Should be half past eleven by now" I thought. I decided to stay a few while, there was an apple tree not to far away which was quite unusual. I shifted into my wolf form and climbed the tree.

As I got to the villa, I saw the maids checking around, as I got closer, my presence seemed to alert them and they greeted me.

"Is there something wrong" I asked as I had seen them looking for something.

"Miss Rose was worried about you so she asked us to check and make sure you weren't lost in the villa" one of them said to me.

"Ohh, I just decided to take a run in the mountains" I said. "Where's she" I asked the maids.

"In the living room watching the TV" She replied me and left knowing I was heading to the living room. I got to the living room and saw her as the maid had said.

"Good afternoon aunt Rose" I greeted her as I sat down.

"Ohh girl, whence thou go'est" she said to me as she turned her face towards me.

"A run to the mountains" I replied her.

"The mountains? be careful child, the mountain is a sacred forest on its own, it's most dangerous for you to go alone as you're new, you're a girl at that" Aunt Rose said worriedly.

"Ok aunt" I said as I sat closer to her. She looked at me with her half closed green eyes, "well aunt I want to ask a question" I said as I came closer.

"What could that be?" She asked.

"It's about The Alpha" I said.

"Ohh I see, you want to know more about him?" She replied me and I nodded. She turned her view to the television and began.

"Ethan is the son of the late Alpha Seth, his mother was a roughe and wasn't really accepted to the pack at first. However at the age of four when the Demon war broke out, the Nightshade Nook Pack was the most hurt and both of them died, of the cause of the war....I'm not quite sure but it has something to do with the Dark River pack, seems like they cleaved unto much power cultivating using démon techniques ,this thing corrupted them totally and they wanted dominion over the werewolf world. The entire packs was on a turmoil as a sought for a solution on how to eliminate this threat, and that's when Ethan's father decided to go against the head of the Dark River pack, he was a very strong werewolf, having dual soul power, and had also attained a thousand years cultivation, Ethan was a kid then so while the war was going on he was to be kept in the human realm, for a period of twelve years, when he came the war had long ended and he was to become the new Alpha. He is known as the coldest Alpha cause he actually is, but despite this, I will tell you that even with his cold demeanor, he has a very warm spirit, just get to know him, there are somethings I'm forbidden to say, you'll find them out yourself as the time flies"

I was in an awe after hearing this story, I couldn't believe he became the Alpha of his pack at the age of sixteen, and he managed to retain it's position as the strongest. But I fell pity for him though, it's must be a pain for him not to grow with the love of his parents.

I thanked Miss Rose for filling my curiosity, the weather was still quite okay and i had the urge to still go out, but I decided to give it a hold cause I was tired from running the far distance of the mountains.

"We're making Chinese dumplings, you know it's a family thing, why don't you join us, you could make some personally for him and give it to him yourself." Miss Rose said to me.

"Ok, I'll join in a minute" I said while she turned and left.
