WE GET TO MARTIN’S office with time to spare.
“You have to admit,” I say, “being around me has made you more punctual.”
“That is because you are obsessed with time, and believe that we have to get everywhere 15 minutes early.“
“Well, it paid off today. Now let’s see what he has to say.”
A nurse comes to get us and takes Helen to get her vitals then to x-ray for images of Helen’s ribs for Martin to compare with ones taken before she left the hospital. Then, she tells us to wait in an exam room.
After only a few minutes, Martin comes in. “Good morning, Tom, Helen. And how is my favorite patient doing today?”
“I feel great, Martin,” she says with a grin.
Martin looks at me. “What’s your evaluation, Tom?”
