Pelina grimaced when the fourth archmage, Kerl, reached for the bottle again. Its glass rang against the crystal cup while he tried to pour the wine, spilling some over his hand. She’d never get those stains out. Another evening spent cleaning his attire meant wasting both time and magic on mundane chores again, which brought her to question her life choices once more. He was an archmage, demons curse his ass, and he was supposed to teach her, not use her as a servant. When Kerl chose her to be his personal apprentice from several dozens of the Towers’ students, Pelina thought her life had finally taken a turn for the better.
