Chapter 8
“Trick or treat.”
Jude reached into the witch candy dish for candy bars to give the fairy princess, ninja, and Shrek.
“Thank you,” they all said at once.
“You’re welcome.” He closed the door and glanced at the diminishing candy dish. “Rex, do you have more candy?”
“Um, let me check,” Rex yelled from the kitchen.
Jude put the witch down and looked at the clock. Half past seven so there would probably be more kids arriving at Rex’s house. He went down the hallway to see how Sebastian was handling the noise from the door. Now without his cast, Sebastian lay sleeping in his bed, carefully placed in the spare bedroom.
