Chapter Twenty-Nine The pathologist’s car was parked in its usual place. As best as Chap could recall, the vehicle had been parked in the same place every day for as long as Richardson had worked at the morgue. Chap had seen the car almost every time he had reason to visit the city mortuary. However, when it had been following him, he had failed to recognise it as belonging to Richardson. Sometimes, the most difficult things to see were those under your very nose. He found a vacant space next to the doctor’s car and pulled into it.
