Chapter Ten Chap was not expecting any real surprises from the autopsy or the ballistics reports and in that respect, he was not disappointed. As Richardson had suspected, the ballistics report confirmed the bullet that killed Eddie Dickson was a .357 caliber, fired at very close range. Chap was willing to bet the weapon from which it was fired was not going to be easy to locate. Predictably, the autopsy report offered no case-breaking revelations. For his age, estimated by Richardson to be in the early sixties, Dickson had been a fit and healthy individual. There was evidence indicating that, at some point in his life, he had been a smoker but it was apparent he had kicked the habit many years ago. Also, there was no liver damage suggesting a lifetime of heavy drinking. By all accounts,
