"Sphinxx didn't come home, Manang?" I couldn't bear to ask Manang when I saw that Sphinxx was not at home when he told me that we would talk this morning last night.
"He didn't, Hija. They are still busy with his work I think," Manang said to me so I slowly nodded. I just quietly ate breakfast and looked back and forth outside the door.
I was leaving the house to take Riri out when I saw Sphinxx's text to me. Why am I even expecting the two of us to talk when I didn't reply to his text last night?
Sphinx:
Good morning, Kalayaan. I'm sorry but I won't be able to go home. We still have a lot of problems in the company.
