Mate This Isn't The End

Episode # 4

Episode # 4:-

Everything in her surroundings was black, not even a single ray of light was coming from any direction. Skylar tried to open her eyes, but her eyes just denied her command. She doesn’t want to open her eyes as she just wanted to sleep so that no more pain will come again in her life, or she had to face any other misery in her life.

Her mind was saying to not to open her eyes. While, on the other side, her heart was saying the opposite to her mind. Reluctantly she slowly opened her eyes. First, it was all blur. Her body was numb, but she was not feeling much pain in her body, in short, the pain which she was feeling was bearable.

She blinked her eyes several times; she was confused about her surroundings. Suddenly she remembered all the things, that how her adopted father just threw her out, after beating the hell out of her.

Tears start flowing from her eyes, she felt a sudden weight upon her right hand, when she tried to put her hand on her mouth to surpass her sobs. She being confused look towards the source and found a person’s head covered with jet black hairs, and he was gripping her hand in his tight grip.

She becomes scared, and being afraid just snatched her hand from that person’s grip, who on her this action woke up with a jerk. On person’s sudden movement, a scream escaped from her mouth, and she kept her hands on her face to save herself from any slap or beating.

The person who was clutching her hand was none other than Asher. He was sleeping while grabbing her hand. When Skylar snatched her hand from his grip, he woke up with a jerk and startled on hearing her scream.

Skylar after a few seconds, when she didn’t feel any pain removed her hands from her face. She looked towards the person with fear-filled eyes, but her breath hitched in her throat when she saw the most handsome boy. He was standing in front of her and was staring at her with worry-filled in his eyes. His dark brown orbs much closer to black colour, staring at her with concern.

She was on the bed then also she could tell that the boy is taller than her. She was 5.7, but the boy was around 6.3 or 6.4 easily. She was sitting that’s why she felt herself dwarf in front of him due to his height, and built, because inbuilt he was not looking less than any hulk.

“Wh..ooo, whoo are you??” Skylar asked Asher after composing herself a little. She didn’t feel any danger from him, but then also she was not ready to trust him fully.

Asher, who was staring her with complete worry, came back in his senses when he heard her voice, and step forward towards her but she crawled away in fear. On seeing this, he felt pain in his heart with Alex, but both composed themselves as it was not the time to grief on anything. As now their top priority was their mate who was physically, yet mentally traumatized.

“Umm… Hi! I’m Asher,” Asher said nervously, while scratching his neck awkwardly. Skylar just nodded her head and looked around the room. She felt some calmness in her heart after seeing the room because it was indeed a beautiful room.

The room was in black and white contrast. However, don’t know why Skylar loved that contrast very much before the thing that she hates black colour. Because she thinks that black colour only reflects the darkness in her life, but here she was feeling full of life.

“What’s your name, pretty girl?” Asher asked Skylar, who was busy gazing around. She came back in her senses after hearing Asher and becomes shocked after hearing “pretty girl” from his mouth. Because until now, her adopted parents never missed a chance to tell her that she is just a useless piece of sh.i.t.

“I’m Skylar,” she said in a low tone while bending her head down without noticing the wide grin which came on Asher’s face after hearing her name. Before he can ask anything further, Skylar asked him that how come she is here.

“How come I’m here?? Because the last thing which I remember was that I’m in the jungle surrounded by many wolves,” Skylar asked Asher being confused, while Asher’s mind works with a speed of light to create a reliable lie so that his dearest mate will not get any doubt.

“My house is near the jungle, I and my friends, were walking around when suddenly we heard howling of wolves, so my guards just shot the guns in the air, and those wolves ran away, and when we came there we found you there unconscious.”

Alex just slapped his forehead with his paw after hearing the most pathetic excuse which Asher gave, but the fate was on their side only. Because Skylar just convincingly nodded her head.

“Thank God she didn’t get any doubt,” Asher said to Alex in mind who scoffs in return because he knew that Skylar is not well, that’s why she didn’t pay much attention, or else Asher’s excuse was as useless as his.

Asher just rolled his eyes, and royally ignored Alex on the insult which Alex did his, just a few seconds before, and turns his attention to his lovely mate whose eyes were dropping with tiredness.

“Are you feeling sleepy?” Asher asked Skylar, who just put her hand on her mouth to stop her yawn. She just nodded her head as she didn't have enough energy to even for a reply.

“But you didn’t eat anything please eat something after that you can sleep,” Asher said to her with worry laced in his voice. Skylar wanted to reply to him, but she suddenly starts feeling very tired. She just nodded her head in no, and within a few seconds, her eyes dropped.

Asher becomes scared after seeing her like this, so he mind-linked the pack doctor who came in his room within five minutes.

“Doctor she woke up 15 minutes before and now again she just slept,” Asher asked the doctor in a hurry who was now busy in checking Skylar.

“Alpha there is no need to take any tension, it’s just, her body is weak physically that’s why she just slept. In fact, in this state, sleep is much better for her to remove all the exhaustion.” The doctor replied to Asher in a calm tone who was visibly very tense, but when he heard the doctor’s words, he relaxed.

“Okay thank you, doctor,” Asher said to the doctor who in reply smiled a little and left from there. Asher took a deep sigh and sat down on the nearby couch. He just put his head on couch’s back and closed his eyes.

Asher woke up with a jerk when he felt some weight on his lap and his chest, he was confused, but later he realized that it was his little mate, who may be tripped due to carpet and fell above him.

Alex was doing a happy dance in his mind after feeling their mate in their arms while Asher surpasses a burst of laughter on Alex’s antics, and took Skylar in his protective embrace.

Skylar’s POV

I woke up in the same bed in which I woke up first. I looked around and found that handsome boy whose name I think was Asher, sleeping on the couch. I wanted to use the washroom, so I tried to get up from the bed, I was waiting for severe pain in my body, but surprisingly it was not unbearable. (Asher being an elemental wolf is having the power to remove or lesson his mate’s pain which he already did when Skylar was unconscious. That’s the reason she was not feeling any hard pain. And the pain which she was feeling, was only due to numbness in her body. Because she was on the bed from almost a day.)

I just took a few steps when suddenly I tripped on my own feet and directly landed upon Asher; my head was on his chest. I was feeling embarrassed when I found his grip tightened around me. Slowly I raised my head and found him staring directly in my eyes.

Asher helped Skylar in getting up whose face was red due to embarrassment. Asher chuckled in mind after seeing her red face, which was looking incredibly cute.

“Sorry, I was just going towards the washroom when I don’t know how my feet tripped, and I fell above you, I’m sorry I disturbed your sleep,” Skylar said in a low voice to Asher.

“No need to say any sorry dear, I was resting nothing else. By the way, how are you feeling now?” Asher asked her with concern, who in return just smiled at him, and said that she is feeling much better.

“Good! You go and fresh up I’ll bring something for you to eat,” Asher said to Skylar on which she nodded her head, and left towards the washroom. Suddenly Asher remembered something, and he knocked on the washroom door while grabbing one bag from his wardrobe.

Skylar opened the door after hearing the knock, and found Asher standing there; she gave him a questioning look who in return just handed her the bag which he took out from the wardrobe.

“These are some clothes which my mum sent for you as she thought you must want to take a shower or change your dress whenever you wake up,” Asher said with a small smile.

“Thank you so much, Asher, just say thanks to your mom from my side,” Skylar said to Asher who in return just gave her a bright smile.

“No worries you can say thanks to her when you will meet her for now go, and change I’ll be right back,” and he left from there to bring something for Skylar to eat.

(Asher’s father Liam told his mother Jenifer about Skylar who just wanted to meet her son’s mate. But he stopped her as he knew that now Skylar needs rest, so Jenifer just sent the clothes for Skylar so that she can change without having any problem.)

Jenifer Taylor Black: the wife of Liam Thomas Black and mother of Asher is a very loving lady. She was a great Luna when Liam was an alpha, whole pack always respected her a lot, till now also they talk with her with respect. Jenny was a loving yet a very strict Luna and a mother. She loves Asher a lot, but she never let Asher become a spoilt brat. Asher was a great kid from childhood only, but Jenifer never left him alone during her Luna duties.

She managed both her mother and Luna’s duty equally with great care and efficiency. Whenever Jenny gets angry, no one can ever deny her command, not even her husband. She always tried to maintain discipline in her pack.

Like Asher, she was also waiting for her son’s mate, and when Liam told her about everything, she instantly felt motherly love towards Skylar and wanted to meet her right there. But her husband stopped her, and reluctantly she just sent clothes for Skylar, and waited for their son to tell when she will be awake).
