Skylar came out from washroom after changing her clothes; she took a quick shower as she was feeling very disgusting, and dirty. She felt her eyes burning with tears when she found belt marks on her face and body while removing her clothes. But she shrugged out all the negative thoughts for the time being, and came out from the washroom after getting change.

When she came out, she found Asher sitting on the couch. A tray of food kept in front of him on the table. He was busy in his cell phone, but turned his gaze towards the washroom door when he heard the door opening sound.

Asher put the cell phone on the side table and got up from the couch. Skylar, shyly came towards him while moving her wet hair strands behind her ear.

"Come have something," Asher said to her while coming towards her. Skylar sat down on the couch in front of the table on which the tray kept. Asher also sat down beside her on a safe distance so that she will not panic or feel uncomfortable.

"Why are you doing this?" Skylar asked while gazing the food tray. Asher, who becomes confused after hearing her sentence, came to know what she was asking after hearing her next words.

"Why are you showing so much concern towards me? You don’t even know me, then why this care and tenderness towards me?" Skylar asked while staring right in his eyes. Asher stares in her eyes for a few seconds and then opened his mouth.

"Shall we discuss all these things after you eat something, because you didn’t eat from almost a day nor did you take your medicines, please? I’ll answer all your questions after that," Asher said to her in a soft voice.

Skylar kept staring at him for sometimes, and then without saying anything starts munching the food kept in the tray. Asher was gazing at her lovingly, who was busy eating her food while lost in her thoughts.

Skylar only ate a quarter of the food in the tray. Asher becomes worried when he saw her putting the tray back on the table.

"What happened? Why did you stop eating? Did you not like it?? Wait I’ll bring something else," Asher rambles continuously without any break and without noticing that Skylar was trying hard to say something. However, when she saw that he was getting up, she immediately held his hand, but the speed from which she held his hand, with the same speed she left his hand.

"What’s that?" Skylar said while gazing at her hand. Asher, who stopped when Skylar clutched his hand, looks towards her with confused expressions.

"What?" Asher asked.

"Those tingles which I felt when I held your hand? I remember I felt the same tingles when I woke up first," She Asked Asher with confused expressions while rubbing her hands as if by doing that she can see something.

Asher smiles a little after hearing her as the tingles which she felt were due to mate bond which they both were sharing (True mates always feels tingles whenever they touch or hold each other's hand. This is one of the signs of a true mates in the werewolf world). 

However, he couldn't explain to her those things now, as before explaining anything he wanted to do complete research about her past, so that he can be able to know all the things.

"Umm, I don’t know but for now, forget this you tell what you were saying?" Asher asked Skylar while changing the topic. 

"Yeah, I was trying to say that I don’t want to eat anything else as I’m full," Skylar said while putting a hand on her stomach.

"But you didn’t eat even half of the food, you should eat more," Asher said worriedly on which Skylar smiled a little, and held his hand again, but this time she ignored those tingles as she couldn't understand that thing for now.

"Asher relax, don’t worry if I feel hungry any time I’ll tell you," She said in a calm tone.

"Umm okay," and Asher reluctantly sat down, but from the side table, he picked up one small bag and took out Skylar’s medicines. 

"Now have your medicine," He said while putting the tablets in front of her in his palm, who in return made a face, as she never liked medicines and especially the one who she had to gulp it down, as she always felt nauseated with that thing.

"No, I don’t want to eat medicines as I just hate them," Skylar said to Asher cribbing like a child, who in return becomes amused after seeing her carefree yet childish nature.

"But these are necessary for you," Asher said convincingly to her who just nodded her head in no while pouting like a child. (Skylar herself doesn’t have any idea, that how carefree she is behaving in front of Asher. It’s 1st time someone was there who is talking to her nicely, and caring for her. That was the reason, why the child inside of her, who never got a chance to enjoy his childhood. Came out on the little affection, which Asher showed till now.)

"Okay, not all but please eat this one as it’s to avoid any kind of infection," Asher said while giving her one medicine because about painkillers he knew that she would not need it (because he lessened her pain by using his healing power). However, there were the chances of her wounds may get an infection.

Skylar looks towards the tablet which Asher kept in her hand, and saw that it was a very tiny one, so half-heartedly she ate that one and luckily she didn’t feel any nausea.

"Good girl," Asher said with a smile. "Now what you want to do?" He asked her, who was now sitting by folding her legs under her legs on a couch. 

"Umm, I don’t know, you tell," she said to Asher who in return starts thinking about what to do now. Suddenly an idea popped in in his mind, and he said.

"Why don’t we both tell each other about us? Like from where are we or what we do bla, bla, bla?" Asher said to her as he wanted to know about her, and her beatings so that he can beat that person like crap who tortured his beautiful mate.

Skylar tensed after hearing this, but nodded her head in agreement. Asher when he saw her agreeing said that he will tell about himself 1st.

"Hi! I’m Asher William Black I’m 21 years of age. We have a family business, and currently, I’m taking care of our business. I know, I’m not in the age of taking care of our business. It’s just I’m helping my dad so that I can be able to take over when the right time comes, and we are living in a community or colony whatever you want to say in which many people live together or near each other houses. (He told her a story of business as for now he can’t tell her about werewolves and all the related things.)"

"Oo okay," Skylar just said these words only, while Asher waited for her to tell him about herself.

"Don’t you want to tell me about yourself?" Asher asked Skylar who just took a deep breath and said, "I don’t have much to say about me, my name is Skylar Grace James, and I’m 17 years old. I was doing the job of a salesgirl in one store, and I’m an orphan and lives with my parents who adopted me at the age of 5," she told him in a low voice.

"What about the beating marks on your body?" Words slipped out from Asher’s mouth which he regretted, because he saw Skylar going stiff after hearing his words.
