That evening, as they lay in bed after making love for the first time as man and wife, Sin looked over at Raerdel, who was bathed in the moonlight. The milky white of her skin appeared almost translucent in the blue silver light. Without thought, he found his hand tracing her curves and stirring her from the half-slumber that she had fallen into. “I’m sorry, I did not mean to rouse you.”
“Mmm, well it’s something you do easily enough.” Raerdel opened her eyes and smiled brightly.
Sin leaned over and kissed her gently. “I’m glad.” His face turned serious for a brief moment before he was able to recover and rest his head against hers.
