As he approached her table, Isha looked up, her eyes widening with surprise and delight. Ishaan's heart raced as he took in the sight of her, illuminated by the soft glow of the café lights. “Hey!” he said, his voice a mix of excitement and nervousness. Before he could say anything else, she leapt up and enveloped him in a warm hug. The world around them melted away, and for that brief moment, nothing else mattered. He could feel the genuine warmth radiating from her, grounding him amidst his swirling thoughts. “Wow, you actually look better in person!” she teased, pulling back slightly to assess him with a playful smirk. “I was beginning to think all those selfies were filtered!” “Hey, no fair!” Ishaan laughed, his cheeks warming slightly at her playful jab. “I’m just trying to keep up with your goddess-like presence!” Isha tilted her head, a mock-serious expression on her face. “Goddess? I thought I was just an average girl trying to look decent in a kurti.” He held out the bouquet of red Roses, his fingers trembling slightly. “Well, I think you’re a goddess, and these are for you. I thought they might brighten your day, just like you brighten mine.” Her eyes lit up, and she took the flowers with a genuine smile. “Oh, these are beautiful! Thank you, Ishaan!” She brought the bouquet close to her face, inhaling their sweet fragrance before looking back at him. “You really didn’t have to. I would’ve been just as happy to see you without the flowers.” “But then I wouldn’t have a chance to impress you!” he retorted, trying to mask his nervousness with humor. “Impress me?” Isha chuckled, her laughter ringing like music in his ears. “With flowers? I hope you have more tricks up your sleeve than just daisies.” Ishaan raised an eyebrow, feigning innocence. “What do you mean? I thought flowers were the ultimate charm!” She leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms playfully. “Oh, I don’t know. I’ve seen better tactics. Like cooking, for example. Ever thought of that?” “Cooking?” He pretended to ponder. “I think my best dish is instant noodles. I could whip you up a gourmet meal anytime!” Isha burst into laughter, her eyes sparkling with mirth. “Instant noodles? Wow, I’m so lucky to be your guest!” They exchanged banter, each teasing the other, laughter weaving through their conversation like a familiar melody. With every word, the nervousness that had lingered in the air dissipated, replaced by a sense of comfort that felt like home. “So, how does it feel to finally meet the guy you’ve been talking to for ages?” Ishaan asked, leaning forward slightly. Isha grinned, a hint of mischief in her eyes. “Honestly? I was worried I’d be stuck talking to a potato.” “A potato?” He feigned offense, clutching his chest dramatically. “You wound me! I was hoping for a better impression.” “Well, it’s a good thing you didn’t turn out to be one!” she replied, a glint of humor dancing in her gaze. “But now that I see you in person, I have to admit you’re not as awkward as I expected. Just slightly awkward!” He laughed, feeling a warmth spread through him. “I’ll take that as a compliment!” With their playful banter flowing effortlessly, Ishaan realized how natural this felt. The connection they had formed through their late-night chats was transforming into something tangible, something real. It was like they were two pieces of a puzzle that had finally come together. “I’m really glad we did this,” he said, a sincerity creeping into his voice. “Meeting you in person feels like a dream.” Isha’s expression softened, and she nodded. “Me too. It’s funny how we went from texting about random stuff to actually being here. I was worried it would be awkward, but I feel like we’ve known each other forever.” “Exactly!” Ishaan felt a rush of relief. “It’s like we’ve been building up to this moment. I’m just grateful we took the leap.” Isha smiled warmly, and he couldn’t help but admire the way her eyes sparkled with every emotion. The café felt alive with the energy of their shared laughter, and he knew they had crossed a threshold into something meaningful.
