Way Maker 

I have heard this song SOOOOOOOOO many times and yet every time it speaks to me in a whole new way. I can’t begin to express the waves of just pure worship I go through. I will stop and just sing this song in my spirit when I hear it no matter where in it I start to listen. You can ask my Aunt who while riding home from her appointment yesterday I stopped mid sentence and thought to just sing this song.

The words ever prominent, ever valid. I’ve tried to steer away from the topic of this Covid-19 thing going on. Yes it is serious and I’ll be the first to tell you that having been a caregiver for over half my life. I KNOW how serious this has the potential to be. And as I drove yesterday thoughts started popping up in my mind. No not what if I get this what… No I plead the blood of JESUS. And I shout his name so all the darkness can hear it and flea! No, it was after way maker played on Klove radio going past the exit for pitman Mulica Hill on 295. Here I was hit almost literally with this. If they say he is a way maker, if they say he is a miracle worker, If they claim he keeps his promises then WHY don’t they also BELIEVE it. 

WOW BAAM! Now I can’t say I don’t fall under that. I’ve questioned more then once in the past few years alone (we could go back 15 years but there are not enough hands and feet to count on and I’ve come to realize it all happened for a reason and SNAPPED into the right place) Still all that being said, why is it now I see a lot of family posts on f*******: and few are fearful there, but out in public I see people claiming to believe fearful. YES it is healthy to keep a bit of HOLY fear but not about Covid-19 or any other illness. If you know you are going to heaven then there is NOTHING to fear not even fear itself! 

God is a way maker!

Let’s just look a little at the people of Israel in the time of the great Exodus. God was a way maker for sure there! Yes he hardened pharaoh's heart for a time BUT that was to show his GLORY and Majesty when after letting God’s chosen people go Pharaoh changed his mind. God parted the Red Sea! If I was more of a cursing person and I admit I slip up on that (a lot) I’d add in some colorful words there. GOD. PARTED. THE. RED. SEA! And he destroyed Pharaoh and Pharaoh’s army and brought the great kingdom of Egypt to its knees. He made a way where there was not a way. 

He later parts the Jordan for the ark of the covenant to go before his people on DRY land. Let me remind us the land once had water over it only a few short moments before they walked out on it and it wasn’t muddy it wasn’t like quick sand it was COMPLETELY DRY! 

But even better is found in Genesis God shows us he is our way maker. In Genesis 3:15 God tells the serpent (aka Satan) that one day there will come one from the line of woman who (even though Satan will bruise this person's heel) will crush Satan’s head. God was making a way back to him for us humans! And all that was fulfilled in Christ Jesus! I’m sorry but that just gets me all in the feels and all excited. God is such an amazing way maker!

Miracle Worker…

You may hear the phrase well aren’t they just such a miracle worker… Let me tell you about my God! Hmm Jesus preformed many Miracles in his ministry (and I mean many seen and unseen) The top has to be the raising people from the dead. Picture it you have a lot of people gathered mourning the loss of their loved one and in walks Jesus. Basically tells the family get outta your black clothes already they’re taking a nap… and tells the person YO WAKE UP! 

Or the plagues in Egypt… Yo Pharaoh sitting pretty and getting all this free labor and in walks Moses who by the way fled Egypt because he killed someone and he goes LET GOD’S PEOPLE GO! Yeah I can image everyone laughing at him. But God, showed his majesty and many plagues and lives later out walk the people God choose. They get to a sea and GOD parts it! There are sooo many the bible is literally a record of all the Miracles God has done FOR man and the benefit of man.

Promise Keeper

Wow! Right now I can only think of the Genesis promise though there have been many. God Promised us a way back to him a saving grace and he’s given it through his son. Who in turn gave us the same power God gave him AND made it so we could be grafted in, adopted children of God. My favorite promise is yet to come. Jesus told us he was going home so that one day he could come back and take us to be with him in heaven! Glory Hallelujah! 

Light in the darkness 

John 1:5 “The light shines in the darkness, and the Darkness can never extinguish it”

Ever notice a candle the darkness around it fleas and doesn’t come close to it so is Jesus. No matter how dark the night the SON will overcome it. He promises us that and he is a promise keeper.

Even when we don’t see it he is working he NEVER STOPS working!
