Leo exhales, sounding frustrated, and I freeze in place, not knowing what to do or say. “F**k, Jones, what do you want now? Can’t you see we’re in the middle of something?” Leo raises his voice, but Liam doesn’t even flinch. He ignores him and walks closer, his eyes locked on me, making me swallow hard. I try to read them—his eyes. I want to know if he’s disappointed or hurt, but he looks away, and I lose the chance. His gaze snaps back to Leo, fire burning behind it. His body radiates anger even though his voice stays calm. “Sam, can I speak with you for a minute?” The sound of my name on his lips makes my heart stumble and my eyes widen. He still has that cold glare fixed on Leo, and I can’t help but wonder if part of his anger belongs to me. Liam reaches out to grab my hand and—
