They were standing with Kinley, talking about something. Bruce immediately took out her phone to take a picture and shared the gossip with her best friend.
"Carla, look! These two are the bosses of Black Eagle District Two and District Five, and they actually came! Look at how smug Kinley looks. It's disgusting."
Kendrick, as sharp-tongued as ever, said to Mathias, "So she's not here, and you're playing with someone else?"
Mathias's eyes were cold, but a faint smile played on his lips. "That's not very gentlemanly of you to say. Miss Barry is the campus belle; it should be a man's honor to buy her a drink."
He even winked at Kinley as he spoke, making her cheeks flush red.
