Hunter looked at the signature on the check, his lowered eyelashes hiding the flicker of darkness that flashed across his eyes.
He put the check away and asked Mikayla, "What happened with your group? Why did Gianna leave?"
Mikayla hadn't thought much about being the Minister of Publicity. She just wanted Gianna to behave so she could enjoy some peace at school. That was why she didn't tell Hunter about the bet.
"It's nothing, Hunter. We got the sponsorship. I'm leaving now."
With no classes today, Mikayla headed to the library with her backpack.
