The night was eerie quiet. I sat alone, legs pulled against my chest, watching the glass castle glow in an unsettling sea-green light that bathed the land in an unnatural hue. The world fell asleep as if caught in some strange enchantment. By this time tomorrow, I'd be confined within those walls. But tonight—it was so quiet, like the calm before a storm. I pulled my cloak tighter around myself, feeling isolated even amidst our camp. As I stared at the landscape, my mind began to wander. I imagined time passing, mountains rising and falling, and vines creeping over the city. The landscape became a dreamscape in my mind as I contemplated the weight of the future. I would win.
