I lunged towards her as the mist started to form. As quickly as it appeared, it disappeared, taking along my beautiful mate. The walls of the rooms drew near. The air was zapped away. She left. She left us.
I fell to my knees and Knox released a painful howl. The vibration shook the walls and rattled the windows. My legs moved towards the balcony doors and walked out. I felt like I was watching my body do things that I had not processed doing. Knox was trying to take over and rip Wes and Knight apart for making our mate leave.
