“Good to hear his brain functions haven"t been compromised.” She chuckled at my joke as she poured herself a cup of coffee. Since it was Tuesday, my aunt didn"t open up shop. “I forget, is this your short day?” my aunt asked. “It"s short in the morning, but I have night class.” “Oh, that"s right.” “I"ll be home for lunch,” I said, finishing up my bowl of cereal by drinking the milk out of the bowl and swiping my mouth with the back of my hand. Without comment, my aunt pulled a napkin out of the holder and handed it to me. I took it and dabbed at my wet mouth and hand.
