Marra’s POV:
The scent of damp earth and ancient secrets grew stronger as I neared the cave's mouth. A shift in the air, a whisper of something lost and then found, was detected. A strange wolf had spoken to me long ago, their words like smoke, leaving me with a haunting sense of having forgotten something vital. The knowledge had been snatched away, but the feeling remained, pulling the me towards this place.
As I stepped across the threshold, the air grew thick with an unfamiliar energy. And then, she was seen. A black wolf, a silhouette against the shadowed interior. A surge of recognition, a primal pull, slammed into me. My mate. And she was a girl. The world tilted on its axis as the forgotten memories flooded back, the strange wolf's voice echoing in my mind, the stolen knowledge revealing itself. It all came back to me, to us. The missing piece of the puzzle, crucial information that had been concealed, was finally within grasp.
But as I stood, captivated by the intense connection with the black wolf, another presence drew my attention. Just outside the cave entrance, my gaze fell upon him. The wolf's twin brother. And in that moment, the truth, as strange as it was, settled upon me. He was also my mate. Two mates, one a girl, one the twin brother, their destinies intertwined in a way that was only just beginning to be understood.
