THE ETERNAL DARKNESS

555 Words
Emily's world went black as the darkness closed in around her. She felt herself being pulled down into a deep, abyssal void, with no escape. As she fell, Emily saw visions of her past, of her family and friends, of all the things she had loved and lost. But they were distorted, twisted into grotesque parodies of themselves. Emily's mind recoiled in horror as she realized that she was trapped in a living nightmare. The darkness seemed to be alive, writhing and twisting around her like a living thing. She tried to scream, but her voice was silenced by some unseen force. Emily was alone, trapped in a world of eternal darkness. And then, she saw the faces. They were the faces of her ancestors, twisted in agony and despair. They seemed to be reaching out to her, their eyes pleading for help. Emily tried to reach out to them, but they vanished into the darkness. She was alone once more, trapped in a world of eternal shadows. As she stumbled through the darkness, Emily began to realize that she was not alone. There were things moving in the shadows, things that seemed to be watching her. She tried to run, but her feet seemed rooted to the spot. The things in the shadows began to move closer, their eyes glowing with an otherworldly light. Emily's heart was racing as she waited for the inevitable. She knew that she was doomed, trapped forever in this world of eternal darkness. And then, everything went black. When Emily came to, she was lying on the floor of the library, the candles still burning around her. But something was different. The room seemed colder, the shadows deeper. And Emily knew that she was no longer alone. As she stumbled to her feet, Emily saw a figure standing before the mirror. It was the woman, her eyes black as coal. But this time, Emily knew that she was not alone. The woman was standing beside her, their eyes locked in a silent understanding. And Emily knew that she was doomed, trapped forever in the halls of Ravenswood Manor. The woman reached out a hand and touched Emily's face. Emily felt a jolt of electricity run through her body, and suddenly she was flooded with visions of the past. She saw the manor in its heyday, filled with laughter and music. She saw her ancestors, proud and arrogant, as they hosted lavish parties and balls. And she saw the tragedy that had befallen them, the dark secrets that had haunted them for generations. The visions faded, and Emily found herself back in the library, staring into the woman's eyes. But this time, she saw something different. She saw her own face staring back at her, twisted in a snarl of rage and hatred. And Emily knew that she was staring into the face of her own darkness. The woman's grip tightened, and Emily felt herself being pulled deeper into the mirror. She tried to struggle, but it was too late. As she stared into the glass, Emily saw her own soul being consumed by the shadows. And she knew that she was doomed, forever trapped in the halls of Ravenswood Manor. The last thing Emily saw was the woman's face, her eyes black as coal. And then, everything went black.
